As you know since the start of the forum we have accepted donations towards the running costs of the forum, with it also being funded by adverts as well (ads run on both teamskyfans and velorooms which share a server).

The forum is now able to offer a completely ad-free experience to those who have already supported the site as well as anyone who supports the site in the future.

As a thank you for donating all supporters see ads removed entirely. On the front portal they are replaced by extra panels and on the rest of the forum they are removed entirely giving you more viewing room.

Ads are removed for the current calendar year, ie, ads are currently removed for all supporters through to the end of December 2012.

Donations are completely at the members discression but suggested amounts are approximately.
Donate 20e between January and April and receive up to 12 months ad free
Donate 15e between May and August and receive up to 8 months ad free
Donate 10e between September and December and receive up to 4 months ad free
These are purely amounts based on what people have previously donated.

Note:
This is no way effects the ads seen by regular members, the promise has always been no more than two ads on a page (generally two vertical, or one vertical on horizontal on live pages), and this will not change. Non supporters will not see an increase in advertising. This is purely a way to thank those who do choose to donate towards the forum costs.

Being a supporter makes no change to the terms and conditions of posting. Being a supporter is not a "get out of jail free" card and as such supporters are expected to abide by the same rules as other members and are subject to the same moderation procedures as standard members. In the event of a supporter being banned by the moderation team, no refund will be given.

All donations go directly towards the running of the website, admin nor none of the other staff receive any income from the site. All donations are listed in the supporters area of the site so that donators can see what is donated.

Note: I appreciate there are easier and inexpensive ways of removing adverts, like an ad blocker, and people are free to use one. This is just a way of thanking the people who do want to and can afford to contribute towards the upkeep of the forum.
