Although its obvious in an ITT about domestique points (although Geraint Thomas gave vital feedback to Wiggins about the course :wink), and you explain exactly the situation regarding when dom points are awarded ie finishing races.

I think in the thread you said to tuart that for Monuments and GTs (overall), they have to finish the race - maybe it would be useful to explain that again perhaps with some different scenarios as examples. I am tempted to argue that maybe half points should be awarded for non finishers, as riding hard for a leader for 200k or for 2 weeks before dropping out will still have been very helpful to that leader.

Not really suggesting we change it but just to have the discussion now so everyone is aware how you see it working, and isnt disappointed when they dont get points they might have expected.

Timmy, you're missing Brajkovic out of bicing's team I think.

Mc, I can't recall the conversation without looking back through the threads but I think it was that in the classics, every rider on the team gets domestique points regardless of if they finish, and in a stage race they have to finish the stage to get domestique points and then with the overall I think all team-mates get it presuming they had finished at least half the stage?

I have by far the worst team if I say so myself. So anything above last place is a miracle. My only hope is domestique points or a super season from a guy like Gesink or Poels. ;D

regarding the domestic points, for one day races and such correct a rider does not have to finish.
for GTS and stage races a rider has to only race 1/2 the races and they are applicable for points. So giro finishes stage 11 = applicable for dom points.

I created a excel sheet which will ensure mistakes that wont matter, basically the excel sheet will do most of the scoring for me (just have to update the specific race sheet and rider scores + team scores will be updated automatically.

I screwed up tho, I totally disregarded the 8/9 rider rule in my system.
Will have to find a solution for this. I have an idea tho, will hopefully post the excel sheet asap.

Sorry forgot to update him in the excel, once I'm done with the excel it should update automatically in the stage also (will just have to input the results, easy) and should eliminate human errors such as this :p

I have an idea of how that might work. Have your list of team in one column. Their code in another column. Then each rider have a vlookup value to their score of PN (in riders list) then a total at the bottom of said column which would equal the team score of said race. Would mean creating another page, but the process itself would be rather easy, and should be updated automatically each time the other sheets are updated.
I'll work it in when I get some more time...

Speaking of which I have been working pretty hard on the excel sheet to make it pretty easy and accurate (error free).

I have made it so that;
1. every rider in the WT and PC are in the start list of each race with their given codes (regardless if they are racing, just makes it easier).
2. when the stage results are inputted, the riders score of that race will be automatically updated. Which also automatically updated overall rider scores, team scores and ladder. Basically all I have to do is input the rider results, with their code (first letter of first name, 4 letters of second name and number 1 (or 2 if 1 is taken and so on..). Pretty easy. And making future races with this programming will be simple copy and paste with minor adjustments.

anyway ill post the excel sheet tomorrow when all the stage rankings are available and i update the recent results.
