Yeap the Padres aren't 'fan friendly' or good for your health!

I am lucky they are not shown on TV much , It's always the Phils, Red Sox , Yanks or Dodgers  which in itself is painful as I dont like any of those teams.

Cool, I'm just happy that the Angels opener is being shown, sadly 3am isn't the best time!

Yeah I am planning to get up at 9am Sydney time to watch the Diamondbacks game tomorrow , If the Padres cant win the west I hope the D Backs go back to back.

The Blue Jays and Indians game today was a long one with the Blue Jays sneaking a win in the 16th inning

Yeap longest ever game on 'opening' day. It was the free game on MLB.tv but I was watching the Marlins-Reds game on there. Have you ever played any baseball sim games, not sure if that's up your street or not.

Well there's a very good sim game called 'Out of the park baseball' it's kinda like FM for baseball.

If Kemp wants to go 50/50 he's got to start somewhere!

I have heard of it but get frustrated to easy to get into those sort of games. I am not into Fantasy sports that much either. I only have 1 fantasy team for the NRL (Rugby League) but don't take it at all seriously.

Well Jansen's velocity is useful if you can get your bat on it.

Yeap Weaver is opening day starter  8) and we're at home against the Royals, who are a team if they get the right breaks could be a dark horse for a wc berth this year.

Also glad that Kendrys is back, we missed him big time the last 18 months or so

The Royals don't have enough pitching yet I believe . they have lots of run scoring potential though. I am interested to see how Sanchez pitches for them this year.

They have a few arms in their farm system, and they have enough hitters that they could trade one for a semi-decent arm, but will they spend the money that's the big question.

I think the wild cards will go to whoever finishes second in the AL West and whoever finishes second in the East.

Or maybe even who finishes 3rd in the AL east. Hopefully Texas have a horrible season and go back to how they normally are, doubtful but one can dream.

I just think that with how tough the AL East is will make it hard for the third team to get more wins than either the Rangers or Angels.

Last year I would have definitely thought both would come out of the AL East but the Angels have improved too much for it to happen this year IMO.

I honestly have no Idea who will get the Wildcard in the NL but I am going to say the Rockies and either Nats or Braves

The NL East looks to be a hard division and it's possible 4 teams could be there or thereabouts, but the Central and West look pretty hard too.

Yeah the Central and West are tough because they are pretty weak divisions , I will tip the Reds for the Central and D'Backs for the West as division winners

The Cards looked good yesterday and if Wainwright and Carp can stay healthy they have a pretty decent rotation. The Brewers will suck and also lose Greinke to FA at the end of the year, unless they trade him at the deadline. If the Giants could score some runs they'd own the west.

Yeah Carpenter is who I meant . I think his injury status is indefinite , They are unsure when he will be back.

One game down 161 to go.

Ok cross-wires here, I was thinking for a second you meant Carp of the Mariners.

Yeah he's out for a while but they still have a decent rotation without him and then it improves when he returns.

Who do you think Oswalt will sign with?

I've seen a few reports linking him with the Angels, I wouldn;t say no, as long as it was a 1 year deal or a longer deal with club options.
