Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

WA women target record in pursuit

    http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8410240

    Quote
Melissa Hoskins, Sarah Kent and Josie Tomic qualified fastest in three minutes 22.519 seconds, just shy of the Australian record 3:21.417 they set at last year's nationals.

The USA set the world record of 3:19.569 two years ago and Tomic expects new marks to be set repeatedly ahead of the London Olympics.

It's incredible to see a state team ride such a fast time - sheesh, it was only 12 years ago that the 4 minute barrier was broken by Great Britain (I think it was them...)

Mind you, having Jack Borbridge & Rohan Dennis on the team always helps, although both are not in top form at present due to crashes and heavy schedule on the road.

The WA girls did a 3:21.618.

Bobridge won the Men's scratch, although there was a nasty crash.

Edmonson won the Women's points, continuing her good run.

Should really be Australia's man for the Omnium (him or Meyer) in London. Doubt it will happen though as he's leader of the TP, will want complete focus on those 4km.

He's not the only one a bit miffed. We were going, but circumstances have changed.
Cost was £900 for tickets for the family for all sessions. Last year it was more like £250.
Luckily, they were coming straight from "source", so we were able to offload them, with ease.

Anyhow, Eurosport 2 are showing the Astana, Kali and Beijing World Cup track meets over 3 nights, starting tonight.

BBC 2 have the final 3 hours of the OTE scheduled for Sunday.
The rest, I believe, is on the "red" button.

So says the 37 year old about one event for their 5 strong team.
No reserve for either discipline, (due to injury and form) so both slots go to the men.
Time for a full Sky trade team, methinks.
