Do we have enough baseball fans here to make this worthwhile???

My cardiac kid Orioles miraculously keep finding ways to amaze me.

Who are your faves for the postseason, and in general?

Padres Fan here , Eliminated today. They better extend Headley in the offseason.

I would love for the Nats to win it all but I think the rotation suffers a bit by everyone having to move up a slot. I think Texas are due for one but am happy with anyone except Yankees , Giants or Dodgers

I like the brewers, not a huge fan of watching baseball, but I do like playing on the ps3 and hitting the batting cages.. I have found a new love for this game, it's really interesting, went to one of the vancouver canadians games, it is a lot better to watch live than on tv i think... hopefully i can make it to mariner game before the season is done... i dont think they will make the playoffs

Seems the 2nd AL wild card is going down to the wire, could have done with Oakland losing last night. Nevermind if they keep beating Texas and we can beat the Mariners then we might still have a chance, just need the Rays to stop being hot.

Both WCs still up for grabs.  O's getting shut out by Aaron Laffey  >:( >:( so Oakland only 1/2 game back.

I still think it sucks that one WC team will be out of the playoffs before the AL Central winner who will have 5 less wins than both Wild Card teams

Short-season class A ball is some of the best baseball to watch.  Kids are always trying hard to make it to that next level, and watching foreign born players adapt to the American lifestyle pushes lowerlevel baseball into both a psychological event as well as sporting.

Watching young talent grow right before your eyes, and carrying that success to the Majors is so rewarding to be a part of as a fan.

by fluke, i was following the NL wildcard game on a UK blog when i realised (duh) i had it on the telly and turned it on... tickled pink that my Cards were winnung, i started watching with my baseball-hating boyfriend who was off to bed anyways, and then it happened.

    WTF?

i mean, i wanted the red birds to win and all, but that was a c*ck-up pure and simple, covered up by a late infield fly rule call. for a second it was deja-vu and i thought i must be watching NFL with the replacement refs  :fp

i'm happy the Cards advanced, but wow!

Holliday would have thrown out the runner at 3rd by a country mile.  I feel too much was/is being made of IF Fly call

But all that matters now is this:

Go Cards! been a fan as long as I can remember.

My 2nd cousin. he batted .302 one year

New York Giant's Willie Mays is nabbed at home by St. Louis Cards backstop Bill Sarni, as he tries to score from first base on don Mueller's double to left field in the third inning of a game at the Polo Grounds.  Cards' outfielder Wally Moon threw to infielder Alex Grammas, who then threw Mays out.  The Giants won, 1-0.
