got back into the swing of things this week. 5 rides in the week plus one session on the spin bikes (due to floods)

mixed weekend, decided to do some exploring on new roads in the nice weather. yesterday went east and found beaches, nice views, lots of other bikes and some fun (well maybe not when i was in the middle of them) steep hills.

today went west and found big roads, industrial areas, lots of cars and very little in the way of bikes. Not as many hills but nature of roads and cars meant lots of intervals as sprinting from traffic lights and trying to maintain a decent speed to not hold up traffic when road narrowed.

guess next weekend i shall try north (my usual cycle routes are all to the south)

First race this year was 6km cronometro on city Championship, I took first place in master B 40+ cos I was only one in that cat ;D, but I did well with over 171 max HR and 44km max speed with back wind :-*. It is so unpopular discipline here, maybe 2 or races per year. Only three riders including me actually bring TT bikes and stuff.
My camera are dying so I only can took videos. ???
It was held on auxiliary air strip, with strong head wind for more then of 75% course, I did 2 laps of 3km, 6km in total, with 4 turns when speed drops at zero virtually. I do not have any times yet (mine I think was 10min 35sec), but my cycling club destroyed all possible master cat;D excpet elite and U23 cat ::)

Zagreb city cronometro Champion short video, elite did 12km

Those are among strongest amateurs here, those who sucks in Poreč trophy, remember broom vagon.

My friend from another cycling club dying at finish, take notice at kit design :D

I won another podium this month, duathlon (5km running-20km cycling-2,5 km running) local U-65 league 1st place overall, 1st place master under 45.

All hard work is getting payed at last, months and months of training, hours and hours of more training. It was hard but mine compression socks really give me that last push in 400 m finish, and allowed me to destroy overweight ex rover and U15 kid, yes and dry cleaner owner.
I did not feel tired at all, people you must try those, it rocks.
I would like to thank my sponsor Marlboro, and my coach who believed in me all this years.
Next weekend I am going for gold in master B duathlon race and top 5 of 6 in hilly cycling race.

Also I would like to thank Velorooms for cover my way to glory.
Oh yes without Garmin FR 60 who sucks I would never achieve something like this-

Tony The Machine Where Is The End of Gold Medals.

Thanks DinZ, I was peak for London but I  do not like weather there :fp

If not having fun in races (yes it nice to get on any podium) why racing. There is zillions amateurs (and few pros) who get this too much serious, lol you should reed their blogs, absolutely crap things like; It was not my day, it was mine B race, I just do not care much (if they loose).
I like pros when they come to race, they even do not care for winning, just spinning around easy, and left podiums to weekend warriors.

Not up to Tony's efforts but nice 3 days riding on the bank holiday weekend.

this morning got up early for some laps of the park. Lots of riders out, overtook more than overtook me. while i would like to think this is due to an improvement in my abilities i think it is probably more down to the fact that after two sunny days most people have racked up some miles and were on easy recovery rides today. Although endomondo claims i set a few personal bests so not all bad.

Today was memorial race with some serious police escort throughout city (about 25km prologo) and then some 5 km uphill to start. About 40 or so riders, from kids to pros.
I was dead at start already, at some moment I thought I am fast coz I was sucking wheel of 28th place at Worlds (Geelong), and 34th place in Worlds at Kopenhagen last year, but then i realized he is pushing with right hand some 13 or so old kid :fp, kool moment, very kool.

Race was actually only 3,5km long but tough hill, with some last 200m of really really bad cobles, so I was trying to find some way through but somehow stuck at the mud and dirt and fall :fp speed was about 12 km/h. ;D
Descent was actually more scary, next year mtb with 22 teeth. I sucks at hills.

First places won by pros, from Loborika team, and Meridiana Kamen team.

Tony Machine storms to third podium this season, he is greatest athlete of our time, or just another doper... ::)
Tony Panzerwagen took another medal in spectacular finish today in Italy, such speed, courage and level of confidence has not been seen since great Eddy, just awesome.
Eyewitness clearly saw him at parking lot taking some weed and shoot just before start but his doctor said that was medicine for his chronic asthma decease.
He also added that he never saw cleaner athlete ever.

If young Tony keep that level of fitness, London would be kindergarten for him.
