The game starts at 2 in the morning SA time tomorrow - will I be getting up for it? I think I just might! In the mean time, this :-)
"AUSTRALIA may be planning to muddle the minds of South Africa by doing an 11th hour U-turn on some elements of the team game plan.
With Australia's explosive dossier on every Proteas player - revealed yesterday by News Limited - now in the public domain going into today's Gabba Test, it is understood Australia is contemplating making some minor tweaks to parts of its plans.
For instance, the psychological impact could be enormous if Australian dossier sledging target Hashim Amla walks to the middle expecting a barrage of sledging - and the Aussies are mute.
Former Test batsman Mark Waugh is torn on whether the revelation of the dossier, including specifics on every South African player, will help or harm Australia's Test prospects.
"It does get the South Africans thinking, 'Hey the Australians really know ourweaknesses," Waugh said.
"And sometimes if you know what's coming at you, you tend to think about it a bit more.
"But it could work both ways. They will know what's going to come so they are going to be prepared for what the Australians are going to do - or it could get into their minds."
South African skipper Graeme Smith, who the dossier revealed would be a prime lbw target for the Australian quicks, claimed he wasn't fazed by the document becoming public property.
However, he needled the Australians by claiming the Proteas players would be careful not to allow a private plan out of the inner team sanctum."http://m.couriermail.com.au/sport/cricket/uncovered-dossier-on-proteas-players-may-spark-change-in-tactics-by-australia/story-e6frepmo-1226513322526
