Fabio Aru Will Take Part in the Cyclocross World Championships

The Italian rider, 2015 Tour of Spain winner, will race the Cycocross Worlds in Ostend as a build-up race for the road season. He's already been 10th at the Nationals in Lecce.

The first race with my new team. The most important thing is that I had a lot of fun. I felt like a child racing his first race. It's my passion, it's my sport.

Aru received permission from his new team Qhubeka-Assos to keep on racing cyclocross in the weeks to come.

I'm in without any ambition. I'll resume road racing in February. I'm closely observing Mathieu Van der Poel, Wout Van Aert and Thomas Pidcock, the way they handle it in the fields.

Aru has also been 5th at a cyclocross in Cremona.
