the genius that is Dim

As you look around V2

Think about the amount of work Dim has put in. An idea which started a couple of months ago has meant Dim has spent untold hours learning new coding and setting up the forum to make it more modern and easier to get around.

There may be a few teething issue butIwould just like to say thanks to Dim and great job.

  • Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

I just thought I'd quickly check on the site, and what do I see...
    Everything's different.
After getting past the first moment of shock, it looks fantastic. I can't begin to comprehend the work involved, and I certainly appreciate it.

Now, if I had one free wish, I'd ask for the member chat to be minimizable. As it is now it's kind of in the middle of everything, right where my mouse normally hovers, and the mouse scroll wheel scrolls the chat, instead of going down the page to the various subforums.

Oh, and I love the PCS embedding. Already my favourite site for results, startlists etc., and destined to become one of the truly big cycling sites. It already is, really.

Yeh, that was a very late addition.. the main focus was navigation but also some interactive stuff, we already have pcs embed along with garmin embedding.. strava to follow..

PCS stuff takes the pressure off the staff one setting up live pages, makes it a snip to put in results, gc, etc.. will really come into its own during the giro. saves us a hell of a lot of time..

Wonderful update Dim, I like it so much I hate to even out this one slight complaint.

    Anyway, here goes:
Is there any way to change the font that is used in the box I'm using to write this message? I find the tall bold font really uncomfortable to read.

just working on that now.. :D

And dont look at it as a complain.. just feedback.. A lot of testing was done before hand , but its impossible to find every glitch in testing..

    Haha, wonderful!

Wouldn't even call it a glitch, for some reason I have always been quite sensitive to fonts.

Despite the self-serving data benders and associated propaganda to the contrary, I am led to believe that there are pockets of organised, highly sophisticated dopers, even within 'new age' cycling teams. Personally, I don't accept that the 'dark era' has ended, it has just morphed into a new guise.
