You can now share your rides on velorooms using the built in BBC (Bulletin board codes)

At the moment both Garmin Connect and Map My Ride are supported with Strava to come later..

Simply press the Garmin or MMR buttons or use the embed codes [garmin ] [/ garmin] or [mapmyride ] [/mapmyride ]

and put in the numeric ride ID and it will embed your routes for all to see..

Is there a way for the Garmin and Map My Ride pieces to show distance in km and speed in km/h? These are the units people outside US/UK are familiar with, and that people also in US/UK should be familiar with - especially where cycling is concerned.

Can't speak for MapMyRide but this is a stubborn old issue with Garmin Connect which, as usual, Garmin has done absolutely nothing about.

I think its down to the owner of the map sometimes.. i had to google to work out how to get endomondo to appear in km on my phone instead of damn miles, and it seems whatever the owner sets it as is how it appears.. not sure about garmin..

At the moment im battling strava who insist on a ruddy API key, but hell, only freds and commuters use strava anyway :D

as for garmin, in august 2009 a moderator there said it would be address in a future update :D

Don't let Ted King or Laurens ten Dam hear that. :P

I suppose it's more of a wish than a requirement, and it looks like there's little you can do on your end.
Garmin etc. really should recognize how the "real world" operates and set km as default - and make it painstakingly difficult to switch to miles. :D

    Thats about the lot..

    Garmin
    Map My Ride
    Endemondo
    Bikemap
    Ride with GPS
    Tracks 4 Bikers

Unlikely to be adding Strava unless they make their embedding easier to work with.

    Sad to see about Strava.

    Have to try this ...

( maybe I can get it to work later )

The ride home is the killer.  At the end of the day that slog is the last thing I really need.

Not editing the post yet so that Dim can see it - seems Endomondo has a problem of some sort?

    I'll try RWGPS

    And the ride home

OK - there is a problem there as well.  Those are clearly not my rides.

    Ah well.

ok, the endomondo one, i cant even see that on the web, so either its the wrong code, or you have your profile set as hidden

ridewithgps, seems tehy have two variations ... route and ride... so ive added a second bb code with tooltip, will make the icons clearer later.
