It's kinda weird to have everyone from the old forum on this new forum.  Weird but nice.  Thanks to blutto for the prompting.

I just reached in to my suitcase of medical preparation and chose an avatar.

Now we just need a  few obtrusive ads, it'll be just like home.

I also think it is important that the forum does not become CN new and develops a klick we should encourage all cycling fans so this can become the cycling forum, with the different languages, great software and the chat for race days this place could be huge

    anyways all imo of course

    Hey guys,

You all know me from CN but i'm here now too, to check out where all the cool kids have gone to. One suggestion though.....(if it has already been suggested then just ignore it).......I am an admin at the site that is under my avatar pic to the left this post (and alot of you know me from there as well as alot of you are members (dim, ferminal etc etc etc)) but we have a shoutbox as well but we use multiple shoutboxs so we can have one for race day chat where spoilers are allowed and also the general one you see when you log on where spoilers are not allowed. The no spoiler one is the default one but you can change to the the race chat one when you want to see what is going on.

I think that is the plan, 99 % sure  for a race day shout box - spoiler not sure about.

I am suggetsing that they keep the "general" shoutbox and have it as a spoiler free one. But have the ability for the individual user to view a 'race day' shoutbox by going to a certain part of this forum or clicking on a certain button to changes the shoutbox to the 'race day' shoutbox.

Because a shoutbox from my experience with them is better for race day then the race day threads we have at CN forums. As you don't have to write a whole post then have it posted, then refresh your page to see other people posts and then quote this person or that person when you want to respond to something etc etc Because a shoutbox, has a 'refresh box' button that doesn't affect the whole page so....the whole page doesn't have to reload.

Basically i just find them easier and the discussion moves along more fluently. Just my 2cents

there is a raceday shoutbox.. you just cant see it because i turned it off..

Basically a single line under the shoutbox that says "this shoutbox is spoiler free.. for race day discussions click her" and links to another box.

It may sound like bullsh*t, but I have lost my interest in the topic.  I made a joking post about HWMNBN there, but I am really finding it hard to muster any give-a-sh*t about him or doping anymore.  I think this year, I am just going to watch the races for what they are and ride my bike a lot.  That is one of the reasons I like the clean break from the other place.  The Clinic there is a spinning wheel of obnoxiousness with little new content and a whole lot of argument over things that have been argued for 10 years.

I've always enjoyed your posts butduring your time in Admin, your great contribution to threads was sadly diminished.

I lost my toleration for wading through the endless interplay between Polish and Dr. M.  Seriously, when browsing CN's forums I would look at the forum index and if the last post in The Clinic was made by Polish then I would not click on the forum because I knew the last few pages would be filled with crap.

Yeah, but where else can you get good crap like that these days :P

The Clinic was on a slope as soon as Novitsky took on Armstrong. Whether Armstrong gets his dues or not his day is done and most people know what the score is. He cheated and his awareness aint up to much good either.

nice to have the option of this friendly feeling forum...

I was getting tired of all the bickering over @cn depending on who you did or didn't like as a rider.
Most people just love cycling and have interesting personalities whether you agree with their views or not.

so we thank dim for this
