Omloop

Wisniowski 201ew
Korsaeth 501ew

Both with Bet365.

Korsaeth didn't look out of his depth at the Worlds. Discounting the break, he was the only non-WT rider to make that front group (I think) and that was as a CT rider! Omloop is a bit different from Doha, but we'll see how he gets on, he should have a much freer role at Astana than he would at some other squads.

Wisniowski is playing second fiddle (or third or fourth) at Sky, but Rowe and Stannard should have their eyes on bigger fish.

    PN Stage 6

    Gallopin 81ew with Bet365

Wow massive price....I think anyway. Unless he's been struck down with illness in the last 24 hours and I just haven't heard about it.

Thanks for the heads up,  put a few £ on ew at Paddy Power which is currently at 80/1, bet365 is now 66/1.

    MSR

    Stannard 401ew with Bet365
    Gavazzi 401 ew with PP
    Mohoric 501ew with PP

The weather forecast is okay, so probably not a day for Stannard, but he has been aggressive in the finale before.

I know Mohoric crashed on whatever day it was, but he seems to have stepped up a bit this year. He had a good result in Provence (downhill attack if I remember correctly) and I just have a mental image of him attacking on the descent of the Poggio, so I had to have a bet on him, as unlikely as it seems.

    EBH 81ew
    Demare 13 to win

Seem like long odds for guys who have plenty of experience in the race.

    I've had a couple of e/w bets

    Demare @ 13.0
    Degenkolb @ 15.0

not original or clever selections but I think both should be in the mix at the finish.

    DDP Stage 1

    Blythe 151ew with Bet365

Been impressed with Aquablue the couple of times I have seen them this spring. Giving Blythe a box seat ride both times. Tomorrow's finish is usually one for a select group, but we'll see what happens.

    Vicente 26ew - Vicente Garcia
Thunder and Rosas 34ew - Laureano
Roi Des Francs 41ew - Vichot again

Ucello Conti is riding as well, but I had a bet on it last year.

    National

Definitly Red 10/1 favourite.  A coincidence bet, the daughters horse is called Red and Danny Cook the jockey is from my home town Romford (even if he is a convicted coke sniffer, we won't hold that against him if he wins)

I've gone for Ucello Conti. I think the winner will come from one of the horses that finished in the first five of last Decembers Becher Chase at aintree as they all looked decent performers that day and some of them have gone on to show that the form of that race was pretty good with wins in some decent races.

    Chaos bets courtesy of PP:

    Bennati @ 401
Terrible record in P-R but he's in form I guess.

    Wynants @ 501
Hayman clone, only real race he aims for a good result in.

    Laporte @ 501
Looked a bit better this year.

    Backaert @ 501
    Scraping the barrel now.

    BP

    Bettiol 201ew
    Jules 301ew
    Tratnik 501ew

All with Bet365. Finally some tasty prices - well the first one is. Bettiol with some good form/results on the cobbles over the past weeks and for somebody who was 2nd, 4th, 7th at GP Ouest and the two Canadian races at the tail end of last year, he should be much shorter I think.

For Jules I'm just stealing that off search. :P

Good value on some "non-sprinters", all 365.

    Devenyns @ 251
Martin @ 67 (I know he hasn't historically prepped for this race)
    Vichot @ 67
    Ulissi @ 67

    Giro Stage 11

    Senni 301ew with Bet365

Just a bit of interest for today.
