Yeah sausage rolls give me gut trouble too.  :D

Looks like Bardet doesn't start, which is all right as his chances on the revised course (ie. the old course) would be slimmer anyway. Still got some other riders at big prices to keep things interesting. Just need a couple of H2Hs now to complete the betting feast.

grmpf, I was playing around with parley bets, looking for the limits and so on - and accidentally placed one on Barbie to win MSR and Bena to win Roubaix. At 20000-1 or something like that :fp

anyway, go barbie, go bena :betting

Looks even better with Gerrans out, as does Clarke for me.

Phinney out though, so that's another money-back.

Kreuziger at 66-1 for pdbf at paddy power. After Saxo just showed they are willing to send him up the road on exactly that type of mtf.

  • Despite the self-serving data benders and associated propaganda to the contrary, I am led to believe that there are pockets of organised, highly sophisticated dopers, even within 'new age' cycling teams. Personally, I don't accept that the 'dark era' has ended, it has just morphed into a new guise.

    Onwards and, well probably, downwards.

    Catalunya GC

    Betancur v Porte 2.2

    Stage 1

    LL v Bardet 2.25

Just for a bit of fun, if the stage H2H is a winner, we'll try rolling over and see how close we can get to all 7 over the course of the week.

No dice with the stage bet, but since Porte is a dnf the GC one looks a bit better.

    Dwars door Vlaanderen

Probably a OPQS-fest, but I'll try Bozic at 101ew with PP.

    Catalunya GC

    Barguil 301ew with PP

Might benefit if the stage to Vallter 2000 is shortened/cancelled. Could come down to tomorrow's short climb and Montjuic on the final day.

Annoyingly Betancur drops out, so that bet turns from a cast iron winner to money-back.

    Catalunya Stage 4

    Talansky v Kelderman 2.37 with Bet365

Kelderman's in form, but I'm still not convinced with him on big climbs. Of course that could be academic if they have to change the course.

Talansky was a winner above. At E3 Haussler was nowhere, but Paolini kept me interested for most of the race.

    GW

    Hooters 251ew
    Jempy 501ew

Both with PP. Couple of outsider sprinters.

    Crit Int GC

    RDG v Wyss 2.25
    Machado v Coppel 2.1

Both with Bet365. Can Coppel climb now or something? But maybe Tiago can find a way to mess it up, or he'll come down with beriberi or something.

    DDP Stage 2

    Modolo v Guardini 2.2
    Vigano v Cimolai 2.37

    Double with PP at ~5.2

Surely they've got to go with Modolo.

Not sure about Boonen, I might have Vanmarcke ahead of him now, but if he keeps on drifting...

    Post Merge: April 01, 2014, 21:37
    ......and Vanbilsen 201ew with PP

    RVV

    Devenyns 401ew with PP

Okay he only has a chance if Degenkolb crashes and DNFs, but these things occasionally happen. Been impressing me with his domming form on the cobbles, maybe not quite at Devolder levels, but not far off it.

He was talking about doing well in them back in January, but I dunno if Giant had different thoughts at other times - certainly he's their main man now. Though of course I'm not going to complain if they suddenly decides that Dries is a better option.  :P

Is it absolutely 100% guaranteed that GVK won't start tomorrow?

Found the Nieuwsblad bit about it.

"Ook de 23-jarige Guillaume Van Keirsbulck (11de) reed een sterke finale. ‘Hij zou een selectie verdienen. Maar hij reed al in Waregem, de E3, Gent-Wevelgem en nu de De Panne. Als we hem de Driedaagse laten uitrijden, vrees ik dat hij tegen de Ronde onvoldoende gerecupereerd zal zijn.’"

Sounds like they probably will pull him, but stuck a bit on at 151 with PP just in case they decide to let him ride.

a bit of bad luck with Gatto going in the attack and not making it today - but tbh it also didn't look like Vanbilsen took it easy at all...

Not a fan of Guardini, and certainly not at 15, but if you can avoid most of the bumping and barging and get round that final corner in the first three or four, well anyone has a chance.

Hepburn to win the tt is a must bet at ~8-9 I think. Looks like he took it easy today and he'll propably do the same tomorrow morning, as one of the very few favorites being able to do that

he sucked in the Tirreno tt but that was after a couple of very hard days. Not being used to do that was his main problem there I think, not the lack of tt abilities. he should be relatively fresh tomorrow
