Thought there might've been something mechanical too. There's a lot of strain on the brakes, obviously, the gearbox, twice as many shifts as in Monza, and even the hydraulics (in particular) due to the extreme bumpiness of the circuit. Jammed gears, failed brakes and  all seem plausible. Then again, it could easily be driver error too. Just thinking what would've happened if Verne did that to Schumacher. At least Schumacher apologised, so he's better than Sato.
