It means ciao Ivan and good luck to the rest of his life because I find it insane to talk about the possible use of PED's and cancer in this thread. I didnt understand in the first place why you thought it was a good thing to bring this up here but that is my view.

I mentioned Dark Side here only to say that his (then presumed) retirement through illness should be discussed here rather than there, which is what other people were doing at the time.  I don't know where you think it should have been discussed, nor the relevance of the Dutch page you linked.

I must say that I thought Leukemans might eke out another season in 2016 but it seems that, given the team's announcement, he wanted too much money.

He was no longer much more than a familiar face and a minor placegetter, but a last-25km shakedown that doesn't include him next Spring will be something of a brave new world.

Ah, the post-career life for an average ex-pro ...

As the article above points out, Seeldraeyers has already completed a training course as an installation engineer for Belgian communications provider Telenet.

Hence Dutch language site Sporza's equivalent article on this topic, published under this rather crass headline:

    Seeldraeyers will install your digibox

Both have made careers out of BOTD and (presumably) team duties. Familiar names but only vaguely so. Italian cycling sure is shrinking fast.

Never seen or heard anybody do that. I'd say that before his move to the US, Förster (Giro stage winner and all that) was way, way better-known than Förstemann. Track cycling isn't as big deal in Germany as it is in the UK or Australia.
