I hope you're true, he doesn't deserve all the grief he gets for England being sh*te. European Championships will be a treat.

Didn't he say this was his last coaching assignment when he took the job? He could have changed his stance of course. Malaga a possibility? Arab owner and doing diddly squat.

Milan aren't really exciting the world at the moment. Dull match so far, and the match at the weekend against Napoli was more suited to the I league than the Serie A.

Just saw that Venky's profits fell by 80% in Q3, surely this mean more austerity for Blackburn. They're not going to loosen the purse strings after that.

Watford might have a new owner:

    http://www.football-italia.net/node/15558

Giampaolo Pozzo who owns Udinese, La Liga side Granada, and a part owner in Espanyol. I looked him up in wikipedia but it never said how he made his fortune, does anybody know he did it?

I'm surprised that this topic has seen no action today, there was certainly enough to talk about.

First things first. The Hammers didn't play due to the Posh pitch being frozen. Ajax finally won a game again. ::) Barca threw away the title tonight with a 3-2 loss at Osasuna, whom they beat 8-0 back in September.

Then there was ManU - Liverpool. :(

The game was no great spectacle, ManU deserved the win, but all the talk centered on other things. You'd think that Suarez understandably declining to shake Evra's hand was the start of WW3, the way the media have focussed on that one moment - that, and Evra provocatively celebrating in front of Suarez at the end. I hope he gets done for it. I thought Taggart's post match comments were a disgrace too.

I felt it my duty to watch because next Thursday Ajax have to get slaughtered by MoanU in the EL. Ajax fans are hoping that the two leg total won't be much worse than 0-5, though it certainly could be. I always have to laugh when the UK media refer to "Dutch giants, Ajax". Ajax haven't been any kind of giants for a very long time. The current side is very ordinary, and will be very hard pressed to finish second in order to qualify for next year's CL.

Hammers not playing was only way we could close the gap. Getting worrying close at the top of the table now with not many points separating us and about 7th place

with man u game was much more disturbed by the KKK Masks on the Man u fanzine than anyone shaking hands.

some things should never be joked about

Love this image and will use it elsewhere. Yes Zam, a number of Ajax fans intend to boo Evra here next Thursday. Personally, I think it's more important that we don't lose with double figures. :(

I must have missed the bit about KKK masks, can someone explain or provide a link?

Dave, yes it's getting tighter at the top and yes, I wish we could have played and picked up points yesterday. Everybody I know who's into football will be pulling for Zambia tonight, not only because they're the underdogs, but also because of the crash and because Kalusha played here!

I cannot believe how many pages have been written on football forums since yesterday about the 'hand shake' incident. ::)

There is a perfect Dutch word for Evra - maatennaaier - which won't translate as one word, but means someone who screws his mates. I think he's a horrible piece of work with a history of accusing others of racism while he himself calls his mates 'niggahs'. People react to him because he's a creep himself, not because he's a different color.

I'm not even entirely convinced that he intended to shake hands.
