I don't wish to relive the experience, but being among travelling Benfica fans when they played at White Hart Lane last season was terrifying. An utter cacophony, people outnumbering seats by about 4 to 1, and a marked contrast to the polite, seated, Tottenham fans who took up 90% of the stadium but only provided 9% of the atmosphere.

Being at the Estadio da Luz is pretty sweet, though.

At long last, and no this has nothing to do with the Hammers getting into europe next season.

I love and hate Feyenoord so much at the same time. Every single year, everybody feels like this is the year we'll do it. We have a chance to win the title, until two weeks before teh winterbreak where you draw once and lose once to total sh*t teams like ADO & NEC (sorry Fleur) and then lose twice after the break and the season is over again.

Total waste of a season, so depresssing. Worst part is, board of directors wont take responsibility for this, theyll happily stay in their positions and draw no conclusions that theyre doing sh*t wrong year after year. Its a total disaster, terrible transfers this year and last year. Youth talents not being used and going to waste.

    Every. Single. Year. Goddamnit.

It could be worse: you could follow West Brom like me. Watching the Albion at the moment is like watching a permanent loop of the first two hours of a Tour of Dubai stage, but with even less atmosphere.

I suppose we at least have one hope who, in a roundabout way, we can thank Feyenoord for...

Absolutley loving this season as a Hammer. Weve had a long wait, since 85/86 but boy has it been worth the wait. Yes thats right a 30 yr wait to see a West Ham team as good as that one was.
I was a bit dubious when Slaven was given the managers job but not now, the man can do no wrong.
Slaven brought Dimitri Payet to the Boleyn and watching him is worth the ticket price by himself.
So yes Arch is very happy with what he is seeing this season and long may this ride continue.

     As the song goes.
    Weve got Payet
    Dimitri Payet......

5 losses in a row.. Something that had never happened before in the history of Feyenoord, negative record.

Still the board of directors wont flipping leave and probably buy 10 more mediocre players in panic.

All in all it was good. Will be better when the conversion to football is complete though.
Was loud last night but 50000 Hammers can be noisey.
Think the getting there walk will be a sod though when its cold, wet and windy as there just isnt any shelter. It dont feel like home yet but it will eventually

Next round we got Astra avain the mob who knocked us out last season. Reve ge time

The Captain of Captain's has passed away at the age of 72. RIP Carlos Alberto.

Thanks for the memory of that goal in the final of Mexico 1970. Perfect pass from Pele and perfect strike from the Captain.
