And it keeps the tie in to the normal jersey by having the bands only on one sleeve.

But we knew Sky could do GB champs jerseys. They've had enough practice...

The Champs jersey does look good. I'd prefer it though for the former British Champs they'd have bands on the sleeve cuff rather than the union flags they have now.

Still would prefer to see something that looks more like the UJ and not someone else's nation. Every other nation manages to do it, why not Britain?

The red and Blue bands is traditional I guess but do you remember Jeremy Hunts national champs jersey when he rode for Banesto? That was pretty cool and was a Union Flag largely.

Yep. Sad that it didn't set a precedent. I think we had this discussion ages ago though: someone fished out the BC rules and that was what set the bands in stone. Naff though, if you ask me. ;)

    You mean this one...

Nah... I like the bands. You wouldn't confuse it with NL, Lux or France, cos they should all be full flags!

I'm ambivalent about the flag on the sleeves... I quite like it for Sky, it fits with the image they portray with their Rapha stuff. I'm not sure I'd want to see it catch on.

Incidentally, why do some teams (Movi springs to mind) not do this?

I'd quite like a GB national champs jersey based on the old worlds jersey...

Very narrow bands :(, but nice incorporation of the national colours into the argyle. And those gloves! :D

Who wanted a picture of Igor Silva in his Angolan national champs kit? Well here he is, sitting on the front of the peloton, as he has done for much of the past 30 km or so, working for his leader, Manuel Cardoso.

In other news, Efapel have - as last year - adopted a fluo kit for the Volta. Last year was pink (with the pink panther). This year is fluo yellow. Hard to miss their train coming up to the front.

I'm probably the only one to be jumping around happily at a podium pic from a late-season Asian race ... especially for this reason.

Stage 1 podium of the Jelajah Malaysia:

Showing #skydive SkyDive Dubai's *tn and *ma champion's jerseys.
If only they weren't holding that big *ae flag!

But, as the old saying goes: Seek, and you shall find! :)
