Rider 15
« on: November 11, 2013, 21:37 »
Well now we know it isnt Chris Horner. Who can it be.

Only 9 riders fit the Usada documents.

Bobby Julich, Chris Horner, Cedric Herve, Tom Boonen, David Loosli, Gregory Rast, Kim Kirchen, Daniele Colli, or Joan Horrach so should be simple elimination.

Kim Kirchen - wasnt injured prior to the Tour de Suisse
Bobby Julich - we know its not him, he is rider 4
Cedric Herve - Retired in 2007, doesnt appear on CQ as even riding Suisse.
Tom Boonen - wasnt injured before Suisse, was busy winning tour of belgium.
David Loosli - Rode Catalunya and Romandie prior to Suisse
Gregory Rast - Finished the giro d'Italia 2 weeks before Suisse
Daniele Colli - was injured that year, but not till after the Tour de Suisse
Joan Horrach - Rode and completed the Giro d'Italia 2 weeks before Suisse.

Chris Horner - Injured prior to the Tour de Suisse. Hadnt ridden since march. BUT ITS NOT HIM.

    BUT ITS NOT HIM.

Thinking extremely far out of the box here but...
    a) What if we are only looking for a last name? a long one like Van den Broeck might be long enough. same goes for first name really.
    b) What if the person who typed the name in added an extra space by mistake?
    c) What if Rider 15 used EPO to rehab until the time of Suisse, but didn't actually ride it?
    d) What if Chris Horner is not telling the truth? (Stricken-through because just too unlikely)

    a) In all the testimonies in teh first instance it will always be the first name. Has to be legally.
    b) Possible. unlikely, but possible.
    c) Dont think so, because then they wouldnt be recanting a story in 2008 about using EPO prior to the Tour de Suisse. Remember this is three years later. You wouldnt say "i used epo prior to a race I didnt race"
    d) no comment.

Well he didn't say "absolutely not" so I guess there's a remote chance of truthfulness.

He said he was never contacted, so that's the excuse he's using for not being rider 15. If it turns out he is, he can now say USADA never contacted him so he didn't know.

I think he's confusing 1997 with 1897, when he started his cycling career.
