Echoes' Pics from Overijse 2013
« on: December 09, 2013, 17:35 »
I was in Overijse yesterday, mainly on top of the small cobbled climb towards the end of the course. It's the best spot because I could do a 360° rotation, there was action everywhere. I hd the feeling it was less crowded than previous years but perhaps it was just a feeling. It was considerably better weather, though.

I'll start with some ideas for a new avatar for SR !  :D A Lars Van der Haar special !  :cool #champnl

With Groenendaal:

I was really glad to see that Lars is as nice and friendly off as on camera for so many riders and stars are looking sympathetic when they are interviewed and are shockingly rude in real life. It's definitely not his case. On Twitter he was usually fun too but IRL he's really always smiling and easily accessible for the audience. I'm a real fan.  :)

Was joking, you know. Do what you want with your avy. By the way, it's about time I put one, lol.  :P

    Forgot some nice Lars pics:

    Now the rest:
Angus Edmond *nz with a "Malteni" (sic) jersey lol. Recalling the greatest ...

    Quinten Hermans (aged barely 19!!!)

Kevin Pauwels took a flying start:

The leaders: Nys #rainbow, Vantornout #champbe, Van Amerongen *nl, Pauwels and Van der Haar #champnl

What I had just ahead of me (you can guess a rider at the back):

    Albert couldn't get forward:

    Nys & Dieter Vanthourenhout:

Petrus *cz, Meisen *de, Dieter VTH & Nys:

Marcel Meisen (I had to move about five steps to get that picture):

Wubben  *nl was rolling on the same spot as later Van der Haar (who was on the podium at that time). Groenendaal on the left:

Patrick Gaudy - the Walloon who did a very good race - and Arnaud Grand  *ch :

Philipp Walsleben, relaxed (he would retire)  *de :

Martin Bina  *cz , with Joeri Adams and Radomir Simunek  *cz

    OK I'll stop here lol.
