1766 points so it was a good Giro.  :cool

I think you'll be in or on the very edge of the top 10 in the rankings.

I hope so! I predict few riders from my team @ Tour, so this must be the moment to go back to top 10 for a bit. After this only after the EBH & Battaglin  WC 1st-2nd!

Can I ask a stupid question do points from a GT get added at the end of the 3 weeks or each week.

ie flo 1137 is that for this week or the whole 3 weeks?

    This week.

I think they get added each week, I got 70 points for Aru and a 100 something for Uran last week.

Flo's tally is for the week, ie the stages this week and the GC etc (plus other races this week).  Someone on CN Oliviera had done a tally of all the points they'd gained from the Giro, but some of those points would be already included in the previous updates.

i've got you up to about 6th, will be a couple of teams close to 2000 points in the update, and a couple of teams into profit.

Mine 1766 are for the whole Giro, so a big chunk of them were already counted in.

    Another excellent update from ingsve...

    Quote from: ingsve
    Update #21: Big swings

So what's there to say other than the Giro being a big watershed race. Either you had it or you didn't pretty much sums this up. Some huge leaps this week in both directions. fauniera gaining 71 places in a single week and Skippy the bush Kangaroo drops 54 places.

Without going back to check the history of the game my guess is that this might have been one of the highest scoring weeks of the entire history of the game. Ben1376, fauniera and Milanello all managed to get the entire Giro podium but more importantly LOTS of teams managed to get two out of three of the Giro podium and very few didn't have a single one.

We also have our first teams to make it into a profit for the year. Geraint Too Fast and Milanello are the ones to first surpass their teams cost this year. he way this game has developed since the first year when I won it is staggering. Now it's a rule rather than an exception that most teams probably will reach the breakeven point at least. There will always be some exceptions but by an large people have picked up very well on how the fundamentals of this game play out. That certainly wasn't the case in the first year of this game. Back then you could tell just by looking at a team that it wouldn't stand a chance. Now it's much harder to predict how a team will fair overall.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    1.   Ben1376   2146
    2.   fauniera   2101
    3.   Milanello   1930
    4.   highoctane   1885
    5.   Slow_Rider   1875

    This Week's High Jumpers

    1.   fauniera   (+71)
    2.   Ben1376   (+66)
    3.   Slow_Rider   (+61)
    4.   highoctane   (+53)
    5.   Tuarts   (+51)

    This Month's Top Scorers

    1.   fauniera   2927
    2.   Ben1376   2632
    3.   Milanello   2569
    4.   Tuarts   2551
    5.   asdfgh101   2540
    5.   PeterB   2540

    This Month's High Jumpers

    1.   fauniera   (+84)
    2.   asdfgh101   (+59)
    3.   Tuarts   (+58)
    3.   Slow_Rider   (+58)
    5.   CraZyCaLL   (+53)
    5.   Ben1376   (+53)

Top of the week and top of the month. The clear winner of the month is fauniera who climbs 84 places moving from 119th to 34th place. Uran and Aru were popular picks but some people also believed in Quintana and that certainly payed off this week. I'm still not convinced that Quintana is a good pick overall but I guess he's better than having picked an expensive riders that are struggling to earn back their cost.

    Top 10 Overall
    1.   (+3)   Geraint Too Fast   7788
    2.   (+10)   Milanello   7677
    3.   (-2)   freshman   7412
    4.   (+18)   MCardinalR   7380
    5.   (-2)   rywann   7374
    6.   (+4)   just some guy   7280
    7.   (+2)   Cykeltyven   7124
    8.   (+8)   Oliveira   7015
    9.   (-1)   Ferminal   7003
    10.   (+11)   *Falze*   6978

Lots of things happening in the top 10 of course after a week like this. Milanello, MCardinalR, Oliveira and *Falze* are new to the top 10 which sees Geraint Too Fast grab the lead at this point. Let's see if the team can stick at it and give us just as an exciting race for the win as last year.

And that's all for my weeks doing the updates. Good luck to each and every one of you for the rest of the year.

Thought I'd do some post-Giro thoughts about my team.

Nine riders into profit which is nice. The only downside is that the chances of me being able to afford them in next year's competition are now slim to none (and Slim just left town). So no De Maar, Kwiatek, Sonny or The Postman next time I'm guessing.  :we all gonna die:

On the other hand I have fifteen riders who are below 50% of what they cost. Most of them didn't cost much and one decent race might get them close to profit, so I'm not too bothered about them, but there are three main offenders.

EBH - Not looking good for Eddy. Probably will get more point scoring opportunities if he avoids the TdF and has a good run at Eneco, GP Plouay, Montreal and Quebec. Fingers crossed.

Konig - Should be okay for Leopold as long as he stays injury/niggle free. Top tens at Dauphine and TdF hopefully, and some bits and bobs elsewhere should see him home.

Chernetskiy - My "make up the total points to 7500" pick. I'm hoping Purito decides to do the TdF and Sergei is the one to miss out otherwise I could be taking a big hit here. Much better chance of points to be made in Austria and Poland.

I think the problem is that our two top picks aren't performing.

ok thought I would have a look after the Giro, espeically as I think the JSG slide is about to start. But week 21 update got to be happy with where I am

I like all teams have some major issues

Phinney I guess rides the Vuelta and WC ITT so might break even

König needs a top 10 at the TDF and a good lead up race to be a good solid pick , hope the knees are up for it

El Puma -might be a good pick for next year at this stage after a good start to the year see how we go

Moser at 34 points - bad very abd year will be a good pick for the 2015 game

JVDB his year has always been and will always be the next 2 months see how we go

Offredo - reups for team JSG at a lower score again :lol

    Basso - Glue factory

Lövquist next 2 months are important

Barry - sad to see should be a reup

Haymen- not what Ie expected but it was always spring and luck

Morton still on 0 and one of 3 riders on my team still yet to score

Steven K - I hope he rides some summer races and the Vuelta could still do well this year

Andy scored 10 points where did they come from

Evans already over the 1000 points I expected talk of the Vuelta and worlds could be a very good pick

Gerro - a stage win and maybe a few days in #yellow and a great pick for the game

Sep - plus 116 and will pick up points all year

Rolland will end up a solid pick after a great Giro

Kiseralovski -no idea what the race program is but will a goodpick I think

Aru -gold and going to the Vuelta

Honey and Badger and S Clarke -should get a couple of hundred more I wonder if Simon gets a GC go at the TDF ?

Boonen - solid but lots had him

    Chaves - gold

Linus- looks very good and the Vuelta as target

and postman Sam - why I do not have him in all teams no idea -

still with a lot of Meh picks but team wise very happy

Yeh sorry to break it to you jsg but these two weeks are the last you will be ahead of me this season. Need Jurgs to get a random 5th in July, Gerro to win the Worlds and Steven K to win the Vuelta.

    Update #22: Minor changes

After so many changes happened the last week, we are in a relaxing week with few points distributed. The big name of the week is Breschel that, thanks to the win at the tour of Luxembourg, has allowed the only two teams that have bet on him to get the first and the second place of the week: martinaagard and tanja. Somar13, Nicosix and Team_Roubaix are completing the top 5 of the week.

    This Week's Top Scorers
    1   martinaagard   398
    2   tanja   331
    3   Somar13   219
    4   Nicosix   200
    5   Team_Roubaix   199

    This Week's High Jumpers

    5   Eric8_A   (+7)
    5   Somar13   (+7)
    5   VeloRooms   (+7)

Tanja is also the higher jumper of the week with a +13, followed by EvansIsTheBest, Teosheva and Vladimir.

Update #23: The whole Delfinato's podium for mc_mountain

We are at the week of the Delfinato and the weekly rank is dominated by mc_mountain that has the whole podium (Talansky, Contador and Van Den Broeck) plus the 6th (A. Yates). At the second place there is Armchair Cyclist with the same riders but Keelderman for Contador. The top 5 is completed by teams that have three of these four riders.

    This Week's Top Scorers
    1   mc_mountain   920
    2   Armchair cyclist   870
    3   Object   852
    4   greenedge   781
    5   Team_Roubaix   776

    This Week's High Jumpers
    1   Object   (+33)   33
    2   Armchair cyclist   (+31)   16
    3   greenedge   (+30)   26
    3   mc_mountain   (+30)   79
    5   Team_Roubaix   (+27)   52

The top 5 of the week has the same teams of the top 5 high jumpers, but in different order.

    Top 10 Overall
    1   (-)   Geraint Too Fast   8158
    2   (-)   Milanello   8041
    3   (+1)   MCardinalR   8015
    4   (-1)   freshman   7853
    5   (+2)   Cykeltyven   7838
    6   (-1)   rywann   7738
    7   (+8)   Pentacycle   7618
    8   (+4)   The Hitch   7597
    9   (-3)   just some guy   7574
    10   (-)   Oliveira   7567

Quite a lot of changes in the overall top 10. Geraint too fast has gained something on Milanello, that now is under the gun of MCardinalR. -1 position for freshman and ryann, -3 for just some guy, and two new entries: Pentacycle and The Hitch. Out of the top 10 Feminal and, again, knallertjeblaf.
