Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

Final signings (allegedly) for Euskadi. Minguez and Aberasturi from EE and Lechuga (another non-Basque).

I don't mind but Horner has got to be desperate for cash to want to ride at this level.

The peloton clearly doesn't want him but he obviously feels like he might fit in well with the likes of Stefan Schumacher and Tino Zaballa. ;)

I don't know really, it seems following Horners release of his passport data not many teams want him, I have the feeling Lotto wouldn't have taken him on for free even. I think Horner knows he won't get a big deal this year, and is just hoping that some team will want his Vuelta points in the fall.

Is it too late for CWO to merge with another team, (Yellow Fluo) to get tickets to some GT's? can the Vuelta avoid invited Horner if they could?

As far as I know, all deadlines for ProConti teams have long passed. Team mergers are virtually impossible for the 2014 season; individual riders might be able to switch teams.

Guama confirmed to Team Ecuador, but amazingly no Richard Carapaz as of yet. An Ecuadorian journalist had tweeted in mid-December that he was being "integrated with Movistar" (the Colombian version presumably), but I can't find anything further. It would be bizarre if Ecuador's biggest young talent wasn't riding for the country's new team.

They haven't been a Continental team in 2013 at least.
Not sure if they're still existing on a level below that.

They're no longer a continental team (so don't show up on CQ or PCS), but they still race - Guama was riding for them last year.

All based on comments from Hembo alone, apparently. Nothing from Horner himself (or Cookie).
Hembo is well-known for saying anything in order to get press coverage. Doesn't have to be true. And there's nothing substantial in his comments, only 'soft facts' he can retract if it doesn't work out.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I hope the news is not true, enough already with the jokes about him, if he signs for Christina Watches it gets worst.
hopefully Alonso will be ready to sign him come 2015, so papi knows he just needs a team for 1 year (just as Lulu and Samu)

I would assume it is a half truth, Horner found a sponsor and will sign with CWO unless he can get in somewhere better with his sponsor.

I think it's more likely the other way around; CWO found a sponsor and need sponsor & Horner to come to an agreement. Cookie would be a bit too upset if they were that close to a deal.

If it's not just hot air, in order to get Horner a deal on a bigger team.
Which would be just the deal Hembo would go along with (anything for media coverage), so maybe that is the actual idea behind this whole charade.

awesome, he also wants to continue for many many years, win the rainbow jersey and gold at the olympics  :dizzy

so definitely no retirement by now, excellent. And teams can sign cyclists in August so it's no problem, Leadbelly. It's not just about stagiares, if anyone wants to sign him he can race in Colombia for an amateur team and do the Vuelta afterwards
