The most recent Cycling Podcast at the end hints at:

Farrar to MTN
Ho-hum.
Could be exactly what he needs. But is it also what #mtn need?
I know that they're trying to sign some big names. Going after EBH and Gesink, fair enough, that makes sense. But Bos and Farrar?!
Sometimes less is more in my opinion.

Alanso to takeover Giant-Shimano
Ho-hum again.
A *es Spaniard's project, managed by an *it Italian (Bettini), to take over a perennially *nl Dutch team (with a large *de German element)?
Of course it's all international these days, but nationalities, cultures etc. still play a role.
#giant really have to be in deep trouble for this to happen.

    Unless MTN really want Brownie Fus, so they sign Bos to get GB

    I think they should sign both. It doesn't really make sense to sign Bos without someone to guide him through the sprint - unless they want to sacrifice Ciolek to do that job

    I like the Farrar & Bos tandem as long as you don't over pay.  Should be a promise of some Top 5's and the odd surprise.  Also, both have a history with Cervelo.

    Alanso could acquire Giant-Shimano plus add Valverde and EBH then sign some out of work Spaniards to fill in the roster.

    Fixed that for you. ;)
    It doesn't make sense to sign Bos - as you say, he'll need a lead-out man. It would make much more sense to develop an African sprinter in my opinion (although nobody is on the horizon right now; Tewelde is back in *er Eritrea).

    OK, didn't think of it that way. If Farrar can be convinced to take the lead-out role, it could work. But I'd still prefer Boasson Hagen over this duo - I would take an announcement of Bos and/or Farrar to mean that #mtn lost the race for EBH.

    Rumors out of *nl

    Tom van Asbroeck --------> #bmc
    Wout Poels ----------> #sky
    Maxime Bouet ------> #opqs

    Those would be 3 strange transfers!

    Take Wout to Sky, for example - Sky have no sponsorship interest in NL. If they want a slightly-past-his-peak-but-still-effective mountain domestique, they'd be better off with another Italian or American. Or - God forbid - a Brit! And what would Poels gain by going to Sky, that he wouldn't get from OPQS? :tinkov? I can't imagine Sir Dave would offer more than Uncle Pat.

    1 year contract Rein - #astana  :lol

    Well at least he joins Kangert I guess.

    Will be used and shelled out for whomever he's working for before him though.

    This transfer, for the reason Tuart points out, at least makes a little more sense. But it would be a shame if he is just used up like that... both of the Estonians have stage winning potential.

    If they still want to have Porte ride the Giro it is hard to see a rider more capable of taking over Porte's job at the Tour that is out of contract, and is possible to sign. And even if it is just for climbing support, Americans will be over paid and over the top thanks to the amount of American sponsored teams bidding them up. A lot of the better aging Italians are not possible for Sky to sign, like the Dolphin, and Eros Cappecchi looks like the best target there is for them if they want to go that way.

    Last year's Tour de l'Avenir winner, Spaniard Ruben Fernandez, is the second new signing for Movistar. The 23-year old has signed a contract until the end of 2016.

    Eh? Slightly past his peak!? He's only twenty six.  :P

    He's a good rider. Whether Sky's the right team for him I don't know, but he can certainly climb (see Zonc this year for more details) and he'd be a very good addition to their Ardennes' team (which definitely needs strengthening).

    Thomas De Gendt?

    Poels is the Vacansoleil Dutchie who left most of his kidney on Le Tour and TDG is the one who won Stelvio during Ryder's Giro.

    Otherwise Serg Pauwels is a homonym, but he's only climbed well during the old TDU :D

    6 or the 8 riders offered contracts

     Moreno Moser,  Matej Mohoric, Kristijan Koren, Alan Marangoni, and Elia Viviani.

    One rider contracted with Cannondale, Davide Formolo, has already signed a Slipstream contract

    not sure the other 2

    Ted King Phil Gaimon Steele von Hoff Farrer Wurf and Bennett all looking for new teams

    Saint Millar retires

    not sure the other 2

    Garmin say they will honor all contracts that Canondale has signed, Davide Villella was in his first year, only 2 year deals to neo-pro's so he must be one of the two. By the same logic the other must be Alberto Bettiol.

    would probably be the best for him though, go to Vini Fantini, build up some confidence by doing well in some stage races in Asia, and maybe go for the win in the Italian one day races.

    Bretagne I can't really see happen. Most of the smaller french races are not suited to him at all.
