#wiggle Wiggle-Honda have signed Kathryn Bertine, one of the initiators of the "Le Tour Entier" campaign that brought about the La Course women's race on the Champs Élysées, giving Bertine the opportunity to be a part of the race she helped create.

Not sure whether it's a deal for this one race only, or if she'll get to race with the team elsewhere too.
But in any case, good for Kathryn and for Wiggle-Honda. Happy people all around. :cool

Kirsten Wild to Hitec? That's an interesting move.. Can't imagine Hosking will be happy with that - should we ask her? ;)

And what does that mean for Giant? Their team was mostly focused on Wild's sprint in most races. Hopefully they can sign some of the excess talent at Rabobank to even the playing field a bit.

Massive respect to Chloe as a VR Q&A respondent but Hitec has not really been delivering the goods for a top women's team.

Longo Borghini is a great climber and Cordon a tough puncheur and I would normally say that Chloe completes the puzzle in the sprints but perhaps Lima wants more. Are we to now wonder if Chloe is out of contract?

What's more, and maybe I'm reading too much into it, I suspected Chloe wasn't exactly a Wild fan. Which is cool, so long as she's your rival ;)

I think women's contracts are for one year only, anyway. They're covered by the same rules as men's Conti teams, and those can only sign one-year contracts officially (but of course agree to stay together for longer than that as a gentleman's - or lady's - agreement).

In that case, everyone in the women's peloton would always be out of contract - although the really big names (Vos, Emma J ... and maybe a few more) can always be sure to get a ride with their current team if they want to, no matter what.

Slightly surprised about Moolman leaving already. I thought she would have gotten more airtime at Hitec alongside Cordon and Longo Borghini, neither of whom were as dominant on Hitec as Johansson before she went to Orica.

Less surprised by Van Vleuten, who was until not so long ago NL's second best stage racer after Vos. I don't know why but she has had what seems like a quiet year in 2014. Slappendael clearly has a bit more to offer than as a heavyweight dom.

Rabo-Liv is too busy with talent anyway, one reason being that it appears to pay a decent salary and do proper coaching. So this spread was bound to happen with Ferrand-Prévot coming to prominence and Van Der Breggen looking like stepping into that Dutch #2 spot.

I think the key to Rabo-liv s future is the u23 Dutch team.

Too much talent not enough places to go round

Ferrand-Prévot ks going to dbl up with more MTB next year, with I assume 1 eye on Rio, more and more will start looking for other teams from Rabo I am sure

This exactly. The women's peloton could probably use two or three more top flight teams for a more even spread but that seems unlikely for the moment.
