Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

    Didn't we hear of something similar with Katusha and Focus a few years back? Not legal action by any means but the quiet funk of dissatisfied riders? Mind you, I can't remember last week never mind several years ago.

    It's fair enough if the gear is substandard though. Surely that's the evidence you want to be giving in mitigation. Wonder if stuff like this happens in other sports. Defective golf clubs and exploding football boots.

    The Box-Rural RGA trusts do "a group continue deluding and growing"

    The cycling team Caja Rural-Seguros RGA closes 2014 with a good balance where you have missed 5 wins, podiums and multiple top10, and a large presence of the racing team. The green jersey Caja Rural-Seguros RGA was last seen by the ever combative ahead of the peloton road or on the run, always encouraging and seeking career victory with his arms. 2014 closes with a step team and an exciting 2015 which, like previous years, the aim will continue to grow and encouraging fans of cycling opens. The team will continue to work and putting the utmost enthusiasm in each race to earn the maximum number of invitations to World Tour races.

    Eugenio Goikoetxea, team manager, takes stock of the season just ended for Rural-Seguros RGA box and carried the main booty 5 wins: Luis León Sánchez stage in Amissa Bongo, Pello Bilbao in Klasika of Spring, a time of Luis Leon Sanchez in the Vuelta a Castilla y León, a stage of the Volta Davide Vigano in Portugal and the Tour du Gevaudan General Amets Txurruka. 2015 Rural-RGA Insurance Fund has confirmed 12 riders; nine continue, David Arroyo, Francesco Lasca, Pello Bilbao, Heiner Parra, Amets Txurruka, Javier Aramendía, Fernando Grijalva, Antonio Molina and Lluis Mas; and three additions, Hugh Carthy, Carlos Barbero and amateur cyclist from the team, Miguel Ángel Benito. The team is already closing the first gathering of the year for the first half of November in Bed4U of Tudela Hotel.

    What is your assessment team 2014?
    A good balance, the team along with the triumphs, has been very active throughout the year in the race, the team has constantly sought victory through leaks and as a result has been achieved often up to podium. In addition there have been 5 wins, who always wants more, have been on several occasions near the win, but we know that it is very difficult to win and we must know what our site is currently in the squad. It is very difficult to get wins.

    What is clear is that the team always tries.
    Yes, that is one of our hallmarks. This year we have been fortunate to have a cyclist as Luis Leon Sanchez, who has given us two victories and the jersey of the mountain in La Vuelta, was our main asset, but do not forget that other teams have 5 cyclists Luisle quality.

    What does analysis of La Vuelta 2014 Rural-Insurance Fund RGA?
    Tour To analyze the split into two parts. On the one hand, regarding the presence of equipment and advertising at the balance is very good, people are turning to the team and is appreciated on the other hand, in sporting balance is good, podiums and thirty General Mountain Award, a prize coveted by any team is fine for us, but we are demanding of ourselves and wished we take the prize of a stage win, but could not be, we try every day but ...

    Almost end of the year, and thinking about 2015.
    Yes, the team is already trying to settle the team for next season, to see if we complete the team and we make a group to continue deluding and growing. Currently we have three additions, three young cyclists, I think we can get all benefits from this relationship, they have here a place to grow, learn and show their worth and for our part we will try to help them with your help 2015 be a great season , we will mutually benefit. Sure come forward to endorse what they have accomplished this year.

    Low as those of Luisle are striking.
    No doubt, but is the story of every year, luckily cyclists come and perform at a high level, even if it means that they go to a World Tour. Standing in for Luisle is very complicated, cyclists of his stature are beyond our reach. Trust in those who come bring great enthusiasm, perseverance and work to see if they can, not close, but supply it with dignity.

    Caja will ride for the first time ever in the US this year at the Philly Cycling Classic, and will probably ride the Tour de Beauce afterwards.

    They even thought about ToC, but decided against it.

    Ol' Caja seem to be in a rich vein of form the past few weeks. This little burst of activity has given them more victories than the whole of last year put together.

    Wins from Bilbao (x2), Fraile (x2), Barbero and Mas who also got a jersey in Turkey along with his stage win. Various top ten performances (in addition to the names already mentioned) from Arroyo, Ferrari, Madrazo, Parra, Prades and a truck load from Amets. All that in the last twenty three days.

    Any particular reason for this upsurge in performance? Can they turn it into a "big" win somewhere?

    Looks like no Giro for Caja, but an invite in 2017 looks possible if google translate isn't letting me down. So no Noce transfer and the team is complete.

    Vegni seems keen on Bora for the one possible foreign wildcard, but CCC have to be contenders (even with their poor performance this year).

    In my opinion it's between #bora, #ccc, #roompot and #fantini for that 4th spot - like they say in the article.

    It's true that #ccc weren't particularly successful and/or visible in this year's Giro, but neither were #fantini.
    The *nl Grande Partenza gives #roompot an edge, while #bora arguably have the best prospects in terms of rider material (but most probably also have to put together a Tour squad).
    And not to forget, there's #roth as the dark horse.

    The wildcard probabilities in percentages, as far as I see it:
    #southeast 99%
    #androni 98%
    #bardiani 98%
    #fantini 25%
    #bora 24%
    #ccc 23%
    #roompot 17%
    #roth 14%
    #cajarural 2%

    So it looks like 2017 could be a bit of a transitional year for ol' Caja.

    Madrazo -----> #delko
    Carthy -------> #cannondale
    Goncalves ------> #katusha
    Bilbao ------> #astana (?)

    The fact that three of those transfers are heading in the WT direction shows the success the team has had the past couple of years, but going forward it does remove a lot of their top performers from the team. The exodus might not even be finished - Barbero to Movistar wouldn't surprise me.

    It's nothing new of course, at the end of 2014 they lost Lulu, Fernandez and Vigano, but followed that up with an amazing 2015. However the three youngsters they have already recruited look like ones more for the future rather than immediate results. I think they need a few more canny recruits if they don't want to experience too much of a dip next year. Brandao or a returning Amets maybe?
