There is still a while to Rio and this is obviously a bad/awful point for the GB TP mens team, but nevertheless no excuses can justify the awful performance here. However, SS and co. must be hoping that Wiggins will be able to pull the team around the track in Rio because the guys coming through don't look up to it.

Olympic champions Great Britain missed out on a medal ride in the men's team pursuit on day one of the Track Cycling World Championships in Colombia.
Two-time Olympic gold medallist Ed Clancy, Sam Harrison, Owain Doull and Jon Dibben finished eighth, in four minutes 4.419 seconds in Cali.
GB won the four-kilometre event in 2012, silver in 2013 and gold at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
Australia race Denmark for gold, with Russia against New Zealand for bronze.
