Giro Rosa is underway again, towards the coast. There are heavy side-winds reported. Perhaps echelons today?

Attack was neutralised, another attack by Cordon also unsuccesful. At 70 km into this stage, all together.

Pooley, Worrack, Berlato, Daams, Niewiadoma, Scandolara & Bronzini were in the break, only Scandolara dropped back for some reason. 2 minute gap to Vos and the peloton now, but no GC threats up front anyway so it doesn't matter too much.

Sorry for the lack of updates today.

Emma Pooley won the stage from the breakaway! Ahead of Van der Breggen and Vos, who keeps her GC lead.

Sorry for the lack of updates once more; didn't have time to keep up with the final stage today. But the good news: Vos won! :win

Plus another stage win for Pooley - at this rate next year she'll really push Vos for the win. And Ferrand-Prevot was very strong as well, if she hadn't been Vos' teammate she would have been her most dangerous competitor. Great allrounder. And with Van der Breggen at third, Rabo really dominant this race.

Abbott a bit dissapointing, but still best of the rest. Longo Borghini did well, but just lacks a little bit of power.

Not impressed by Vos's antics on the final stage. (38 minutes on the video)
No need for that, given the race situation.
I don't think I've ever seen anything that blatant from the men, in all the years I've watched pro racing.

Not the 1st time either MV.

The strength of Rabo-liv being used in a negative racing manor, not good

Rabo are probably a bit too strong at the moment, it's not good for the racing. Ferrand-Prevot in particular needs to go somewhere else really; she could definitely have challenged Vos here as she has both the technical ability and the climbing power.

Shame she didn't do unto Vos what Rabobank were doing to her. Maybe next time someone will.

What happened to Pooley early on in the race to lose so much time?

She crashed in one of the first stages, can't remember which exactly. Pooley's problem in this race has been the same for a few times: she can match and even outclimb Vos in the mountains, but Marianne takes too much time with her sprint and technical ability - descending in particular - for Pooley to compensate.

Still, could be an interesting edition next year if Pooley fully goes for it and Prevot is in a different team. With Abbott and Vos in the mix too, it has the potential to be brilliant.

Of course, we've seen at the TdF this year that such promises don't always work out ;)

Shocking race tactics, way worse than anything seen in the men's peloton, including Sky's 2011 mountain train.

Vos is good enough, should be good enough, not to have to resort to such tactics.
