  • Despite the self-serving data benders and associated propaganda to the contrary, I am led to believe that there are pockets of organised, highly sophisticated dopers, even within 'new age' cycling teams. Personally, I don't accept that the 'dark era' has ended, it has just morphed into a new guise.

I can check error log by user, and theres no errors showing up for your account :S

you get that occasionally, usually if you are logged in already somewhere else and try to log out

And besides you are using IE. Tech support does not extend to microsoft internet exploder, we only support Opera, Firefox and Chrome.

very odd, s2 browser is the default stock samsung browser and thats fine here, ive tested pretty hard with stock android browser and not having any problems.. but the stock browser isnt the best.

    Few alternates worth trying

    Dolphin Browser - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser&hl=en
    Which is pretty quick.

    Opera Mobile - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opera.browser&feature=search_result
Like Dolphin is pretty quick, both are quicker than stock browser by quite a way

    Firefox - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsIm9yZy5tb3ppbGxhLmZpcmVmb3giXQ..
Although thats slower than both opera and dolphin

And if you have ICS you can download chrome.

my hunch is, theres no errors being logged this end, and i cant replicate it, that it might be an issue with your browser.

Maybe, but why would it only be velorooms that shuts down the browser and every other site works fine?

But since its off season now i dont really use vlr on my phone that much. Ill leave it and hope that by March the thing will have resolved itself one way or the other.

i would try a browser other than stock android browser. if for no other reason than opera in turbo mode cuts down the amount of bandwidth you use. Or dolphin which is quicker.

i have tried replicating it, but im getting no problems on stock android browser, so cant recreate the problem. :(

Anyway, I need to get a mate of mine to come help sort me anyway, my tech stuff needs to be streamlined, I get in such a bad mood with it because my set-up is clumsy & I don't know WTF I'm doing. Luckily he would do anything for a couple of beers :-D

Mobile theme good on my resurrected iPoop except I now get ads ;) and that share bar really gets in the way when zooming to content because it has a listener in JS that always keeps it left and centre, which is inconvenient if you're trying to zoom.

um, you shouldnt be seeing the share button at all on the mobile theme :S

(Hmm, i didnt actually remove it because its hooked but i positioned it off the screen, maybe i need to push it further off or figure out how to undo the hook)

it doesnt show in android or windows phone. :S

the ads im still trying to work out how to remove them from supporters mobile theme, i had to use some shoddy coding to hide the side panels in the theme, but the downside is its forcibly loading all header and footer panels regardless of permissions. I have asked on the SP forum for the guy to reveal the proper code that is meant to be available for showing panels in a theme but hes not replying.
