The REV Classic
« on: February 23, 2015, 19:20 »
I would like to thank CJ for the nomination to preview this race, a race in it´s 10th year that I have never heard of  :D

The Course

Carefully designed to provide a diverse, challenging and enjoyable ride, the REV course takes riders through some of New Zealand’s excellent cycling terrain and through nationally recognised landmarks.

French Pass

Perhaps the most daunting, challenging and rewarding part of the REV course, French Pass is a Category 4 climb just 6km into the REV Classic / REV 100 course.

Hobbiton

The REV Classic / REV 100 course takes riders through the famous Hobbiton, home of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films. Keep your eyes on the road through these bendy roads to avoid being distracted by The Shire.

Scotsman Valley

Bagpipes welcome riders into the legendary Scotsman Valley on race day, providing a sensory overload as riders take in the fantastic scenery heading towards the home straight

Not sure where a startlist will come from maybe @pelotonwatch

hope you enjoyed it ;)

As this is the fist time as a UCI reg race no previous winners although Pat Bevan won last year for search2retain

  • Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

Never heard of this race before, either.
Landscape will be beautiful - but I have no idea how the race is going to develop. A sprint is possible, but the strongest teams may send someone up the road on that climb with ~30 km to go.

    Is his infiltration infinite?

Are there no limits to his pervasive perversions?

Krebs has got his own race now?

For those who have not been to NZ it is an amazing place, and a bike race with TV would have people´s mouth gapping open with amazement on how beautiful it is

That is if many could get over there Cycling is a Europe thing only and I only watch from Omloop on cause I am cool and sh*t  ;)

....and that's the Oceania Tour over for another year. Gunman won the overall UCI ranking (with five of the top six riding for Avanti).
