Tables man, that's hardly readable. Safe to assume that Eritreans riding for the unmentioned team be the Red Sea Camels?

Another stage not another MTN win. Despite the confusing names in the results sheet the Debesay brothers won the stage crossing the line together nearly 40 seconds ahead of the field. Mekseb got the stage win and Freqalsi gets the points jersey as a result of his second place.  Jacques Janse van Rensburg holds on to become the first non Eritrean to win the race. Freqalsi took second overall after mechanical issues for Algerian Lagab.

Decent win, but didn't they want one of the Eritreans to win?

Not quite Qhubeka, but the Kwita Izina tour later this week. Kwita Izina is the tradition of naming a new born gorilla apparently. Not much info about the cycling race apart from the fact that it's on the 9th and 10th, from Kigali to Musanze.

From one of the Marco Polo managers who still races
    Quote
night race in Gelsenkirchen, Formula 1 on bicycles, 47+ average, I could only attack once, the last 10 laps. Recovered but didn't get into the hectic sprint preparation. Towards the last corner I had a good jump, but got blocked by a scared rider. Then I sprinted behind the prices, around 25th.
Impressive victory by Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg!

I hope it was a smirk rather than a smile. Boom's only 4 years older, otherwise the Dutch age slower than the South Africans.

Could depend on them possibly getting Pro Conti next year, though I think that they're still a bit weak for that apart from Reinardt. I just hope he doesn't go to a team where he'll do sweet flip all apart from helper duties.

No, MTN going Pro-Conti would not really be reasonable, would have to change/upgrade their entire squad. Letting the riders develop and have experience in Europe the way they are doing now is great.

As for Reinardt what would you expect from a rider making the jump two divisions up? At least for the first season, being a domestique, learning to ride in stronger pelotons, free role occasionally to get in the break, would all the be necessarily a bad thing to start of with? And there's still the SSRs that WT teams go in, I'm sure he'd be motivated to ride well in those against his former competitors :D

Which was my point really, Qhubeka going pro conti.

Rather seem him as leader than sh*tting away. Especially if he ends up as a leading out a Farrar like waste. Mind, it's only my preference.

The team MTN, South African continental set, is finishing the final details of the party that organized tonight in Johannesburg. The event, which have been invited major South African cycling authorities, will be held at the Monte Casino Ball from 19 hours of today.

MTN has been in recent years a benchmark for cycling in South Africa and today will make an important announcement for the development of cycling not only at home but throughout the continent. Also, do not forget that MTN has teams of mountain biking and females and that its staff have grown talent as Janse van Rensburg REINARDT, represented by VELOFUTUR corridor and one of the squad laurados cyclists worldwide.

MTN In 2012 the team has taken a leap in its internationalization. And despite remaining in the continental category has traveled to Europe to play a number of professional competitions in France, Belgium, Holland ... in the first period to be completed in August and September, among others, the Tour of Portugal.

    going pro-conti next year ?

Not sure. It's a huge call is going pro conti, are they really strong enough? What will that mean for the team? They have a quota policy, which I'm not a fan of, to be honest, and will that be dropped if the compulsions of Pro Continental demand? Or will they be able to compete with the dodgy quota system in the Pro Continental level? I'd like to see Reinardt lead in major races than be a workhorse for someone else, but I don't think the team Qhubeka are quite ready for that quantum leap.

I'd much rather see Qhubeka develop cycling among the less privileged, which is the aim of Qhubeka (not the MTN part), than manufacture a team with quotas.

What about the next talent from the land, Meintjes. He's a fine TT prospect, but where will he end up?
