While speculation threads are now really our thing, thought this might be ok

1st up

If they didn't have an impending license crisis I'd say Bjarne would go to Astana.

Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

Chiken said maybe Saxo would leave Tinkov and instead give Bjarne his own team.

Bjarne Riis has, if nothing else, a spectacular record of securing funding for top level cycling teams.

Bjarne Riis has, if nothing else, a spectacular record of securing funding for top level cycling teams.

And let's not forget, he has his own funding in terms of the money he pocketed a) selling out to Oleg and b) (presumably, if he gets fired for results and not "methods") a pay-off of some description.

Someone suggested, either on Twitter on in the shoutbox, that he should wait for Team Oleg to implode and then buy it for nothing and start again. Which sounds like a timeline that might match up with his ban from the ADD.

Ok reports are there is no ADD Holiday coming and it more like the CIRC report

My guess is Bjarne sits out the rest of the year and starts a Danish PCT called Saxo and becomes the love of the Danish cycling community again

and my other guess is John Lelangue takes over as manager of Tinkoff

I did look this morning to see who was DS at Team Tinkoff Mark I. Don't forget also that Stefano Feltrin, former GM of that team, is already the CEO of Tinkoff Mark II. Maybe this is all just part of Oleg yearning for the good old days.

    Someone, that is me  :o

Also knowing Bjarne I wonder in what way he managed to win this situation. My guess Saxo quits, Oleg goes bust, and Bjarne buys it back for next to nothing.  :lol

Maybe Manolo Saiz to Tinkoff?  :-x
