Yes its impossible. As you say, a quote is free texts with tags around it, would need a routine in every single post to check the quotes against the ignore list. Whereas the ignore list just compares with the database entry of the user that posted a post.

    Is there a way to rename a hyperlink? Sometimes I feel it would be better just to describe the link in the title instead of describing it then linking it.

    Not that it matters, just seeing if it's possible!  8)

    Is it possible to minimize the shoutboxes? And if so, how?

    I have somehow got it to work for the regular showbox on the forum overview page, but the Dark Side and Tour shoutboxes still show up when I access these subforums.
    As I don't use the shoutboxes, I'd like to have them minimized if possible.

    there is a little black arrow to the top right of the shoutbox header, thats shrinks the panel.

    theres the notify button, but that just notifies you of all new replies.. will look into it..

    in the meantime, that table above was created using the new csv tag (which is very much work in progress)..

    the tag is

    [csv=,]

    [/csv]

    and basically you just type your tables like so..

     title1,title2,title3
    joe, 2, 99
    fred,3,64
    mark,9,93

    and hey presto.

    title1title2title3
    joe 2 99
    fred364
    mark993

    and they are sortable.. i just need to check the javascript doesnt clash with larris existing scripts.
    I dont know what is going on but I can make tables just fine by using spaces as a separator
    as in
    For example
    Title1Title2Title3Title4
    Testing1Testing2Testing3Testing4
    Testing1Testing2Testing3Testing4
    Testing1Testing2Testing3Testing4

    As in:
    [csv= ]
    Title1 Title2 Title3 Title4
    Testing1 Testing2 Testing3 Testing4
    Testing1 Testing2 Testing3 Testing4
    Testing1 Testing2 Testing3 Testing4
    [/csv (deliberately left open)

    But when I attempt to copy results etc and I insert the number of spaces where the different fields are spaced at it only divides the ones I make (ie. the titles in this case but it could be anything) and not the copied results which are all inserted into the first divider even though they are exactly the same I must be doing something wrong but I just dont know what?

    eg.
    Title1Title2Title3Title4Title5Title6
    1   3   WIGGINS Bradley   GBR19800428   SKY PROCYCLING (SKY)   601
    2   1   RODRIGUEZ OLIVER Joaquin   ESP19790512   KATUSHA TEAM (KAT)   404
    3   4   NIBALI Vincenzo   ITA19841114   LIQUIGAS-CANNONDALE (LIQ)   400

    As in:
    [csv=   ]
    Title1   Title2   Title3   Title4   Title5   Title6
    1   3   WIGGINS Bradley   GBR19800428   SKY PROCYCLING (SKY)   601
    2   1   RODRIGUEZ OLIVER Joaquin   ESP19790512   KATUSHA TEAM (KAT)   404

    As you know, HTML only supports a single space by default and there is no such thing as a tab in clear text. The CSV plugin evidently has problems with forced spaces, so maybe it's better to stick to non-blank characters such as commas and semi-colons, inconvenient as that may occasionally be.

    Just wondering how for example the tables in this thread was made, because I highly doubt the table makers inserted commas for every entry  :P.  :-[

    Just checked the post. Ram used semicolons. You can usually paste from the source cleanly into Excel or OpenOffice Calc, save as CSV with your selected delimiter and then copy-paste the result here.

    yup. the csv= tag specifies what the seperater value will be, so putting csv=, means a new coloumn with every comma, csv=: means new column every colon, and csv= means a new column every space.

    my big tables i do in excel (well open office) save them as csv and then just copy the info from notepad. for results and things, pasting into excel generally does the formatting for you.

    Indeed I was playing about with the separator value thinking I could find a way to just copy any data I wanted but it seems that that was impossible.
    Anyways thanks a lot I have tried what you and Larri suggested and it works for me, immediately putting in the commas as delimiters

    La Vuelta starts 18th August a Saturday in Pamplona with TTT.

    If we start a countdown clock on the home page after Olympic RR that is 3 weeks to La Vuelta!

    I was looking for a start time that day too, just to be accurate to the second ;) But seriously, it's up on the Vuelta board now, so all Vuelta topics have it.
