Reall impressive today and he looked (dare I say) close to back to his very best today, there is still a bit to go but we may see something very special in Vaalkenburg and Lombardia...

Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

Nope, Purito and Nibbles have those two reserved. Your Phil can have Paris-Tours though ;)

I am pretty happy with Purito and nibbles ... Though not for WC ;D

Nibbles could win lombardia I guess. Purito has won a classic, and podiumed 2 grand tours, so he was won enough this year for me to be happy.

Phil on the other hand hasn't had much success this year, and would look great in rainbows  :)

And richly deserved. He's someone who I think we all expected to be world champion at some point, it was only a question of when. Then again many have said the same about Valverde.

Had to happen some time. He's been crapulent at best all year, still one of the few who deserve it.

Where's the soap to wash the mouth when needed?

Who's more shaggable here then? I'm seriously doubting the missus.

Great race by Gilbert and the Belgian team. Good course too. Not sure whose attack was the best, Gilbert or Vos? Both great riders.

Very different contexts - though a recurring theme was the fact that they both overcame personal blocks. Vos had to overcome the fact she had finished 5 times 2nd, whilst Gilbert had to overcome his woeful season.

As much as I admire Philipe for his achievements on the bike (and admire him I do...), I stumbled across this picture of Madame Gilbert after her husband crossed the line in Valkenburg yesterday.

I understand - in theory at least - why you might not like the duck face/boob out combination. But I most certainly do. Thank you for sharing  ;D
