*no Continental team COOP #coop gets a new sponsor : Mills (food products from "caviar" - salted and smoked cod roe - to pâtes)  and especially the "Vita" (healthy foods) product line.  Details on the economy of the deal is not disclosed but it is supposedly a significant addition for the team. Looking forward to hear about their PCT plans.   ;)

(don't take that seriously .... there is constant talk about upgrading #coop #joker #sparsor but it seems nothing ever happens)

Is this a serious sponsor, or just Coop taking the opportunity to market their store brand?

This brand is not owned by Coop, it is sold across all major grocery store chains in Norway. The mother company Agra control several brands in addition to Mills and Vita, and have about 1000 employees across Scandinavia and Poland. Annual turnover about 3.5 billion NOK.

    A good catch!  :cool

As long as he's only the team sponsor and does nothing else than pay the bills, all is well. It's when he gets involved in more than that and can't say no to a microphone that's held in front of him that trouble starts:
*dk TV2: Hembo udfordrer Riis med ny cykelsatsning: - En dyst for rigtige mænd

The quotes in the article actually aren't as sh*t-stirring as the headline makes them out to be.
The problem is that Hembo talks about #cphpro & #veloconcept as FC Barcelona & Real Madrid ... when they're really more on the level of FC Midtjylland and FC København.

the GP Internacional Beiras e Serra da Estrela this weekend will be the last race for #bolivia Team Bolivia, the team will be shut down afterwards. Apparently this project was dubious to begin with, never in accordance with the Bolivian Cycling Federation, all money which was ever paid were $2400 for the Continental License and the only "sponsor" of the team is a Bolivian airline, offering them reduced flight tickets in return to appear on the jersey.

That hardly counts as a bus. Looks more like an oversized camper to me. ;)

But it's indeed not a signal that says "we'll be back at PCT in no time" - more of a "we're slowly downsizing into just another CT, if that" vibe to it.

A French-Mongolian CT team on the way?
    Why not. :cool

There've been a few Mongolian riders on #ningxia Ningxia Sports Lottery, and they aren't the worst riders on the team.
And there was a Mongolian national team riding cyclo-cross a few years back, mentored by (I think) Johan Museeuw.
