Despite the self-serving data benders and associated propaganda to the contrary, I am led to believe that there are pockets of organised, highly sophisticated dopers, even within 'new age' cycling teams. Personally, I don't accept that the 'dark era' has ended, it has just morphed into a new guise.

Pretty much sums up the game. Italy just outclassed England and deserved to win.
Looking forward to Portugal-Spain, and I think the Portuguese could actually win!

It was a good game, one of the better ones of the tournament so far. Italy were the better team and deserved to win, but England played some football too. They were not playing like Chelsea anyway.

I hope Portugal will be able to bring something to the table against Spain, but I fear the Spanish will just step it up a level and once again win with 1-0.

True, rookie error on my part. What I meant was too many thunder:censoreds in a team.

Tried watching it, not the most compelling at post midnight :fp

Please don't let Spain win, can't stand those doping swines!

I go with that.    They make Kenyan/African distance runners look like sluggards.

Like 400 metre track runners on speed but with short passes and a lack of individual flair.  They are the dullest most successful team in history by a mile.

Wow that was depressing. Muller or Reus better be starting the 2nd half.

That was a pretty obvious win for the Spanish. First good match they played all tournament, and they played it at the right moment. Simply the best team of Europe if they're bothered.

Italy did well, and were almost equally matched to the Spanish for portions of the game, but were unlucky to have the goals fall in the favour of the Spanish. The second half was too much though, 10 against 11. The game was basically over when the 2-0 fell just before halftime.

Well, that was Euro 2012, now my attention can fully shift to the Tour, Wimbledon and in a few weeks the Olympics :)
