help a fat forumite do something worthwhile

Hi all,
Sorry to have been awol.
It is a long time since I have regularly been on the forums.  I think I needed to get away from cycling a bit after the days of CN.  Anyway I have gotten involved in a big event and you can help too.

Next weekend I will be riding with a team in the Murray to Moyne cycle relay

We will be riding continuously for 24 hours to cover 520km from the NSW border at Echuca to the Victorian coast in Port Fairy.

Our team is "Ferris Wheelers Day Off", created by Michelle Ferris - 2 time Olympic silver medallist, in support of the Leila Rose Foundation - a group dedicated to supporting families of children with rare forms of cancer.

Team members are paying their own way including ride entry, accommodation, etc. so all donations go to the organisation. All I ask is that you consider clicking the following link and contributing anything you think you can spare. As I tell my friends,

"think of it as a fee for the smile you get while thinking of a 115kg sofa surfer trying to keep up with 2 former Olympians and 2 current Ironman triathletes on a ride across Victoria through the night."

Even if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this link:

Thanks in advance,
