Question AC has there ever been a person that has been picked by every single team?

I'm going to make a wild stab in the dark and every one of us has a certain Colombian this year :lol :lol

Big Dani Martinez fan, eh?!  ;)

As for the question having a look at the old threads and thanks to AC's stats:

2012 Giro - No idea as link to cqmanager site doesn't work.
2012 TDF - 63/93 Andreas Kloden
2012 Vuelta - 43/49 Igor Anton
2013 Giro - 33/43 Robert Kiserlovski
2013 TDF - 56/58 Andrew Schleck
2013 Vuelta - 21/41 Jelle Vanendert
2014 Giro - 46/66 Nario Quintana
2014 TDF - 57/71 JVDB
2014 Vuelta - 44/56 Chris Froome
2015 Giro - 31/49 Carlos Betancur  :P
2015 TDF - 38/44 Andrew Talansky
2015 Vuelta - 29/41 Rafal Majka

So Andy was the closest to being ubiquitous by that list.

In addition to the research that Murrjt has above, Caleb Ewan is on 44/45 teams in the first edition of the Emerging Riders game (which I had hoped to update tonight: hopefully tomorrow)

No-one is on more than 8 of the 12 teams submitted so farfor this game, and the most popular picks are not Colombian.

Can I change my team after submitting it? I think I've put a rider in who isn't riding the race.

A few more into the inbox overnight, now 25 entries all of which are correct.

62 out of the 198 presumed starters have been selected, 29 as unique picks, 7 on 10 or more teams, and the most popular pick is on 17 of them.

About 29 1/2 hours to go as of the timestamp on this message: don't miss out.

5 1/2 hours to go as of the timestamp on this post: please check the list in the OP to make sure your team has arrived safely in my inbox.

From this point, I can't return your team for review if it has budget or selection errors: please double check if you have left it to the 11th hour.

47 teams in, 86 riders selected, of which 39 are unique picks, 3 are on 20 or more teams, and one is on over 30.

    The major tactical spends

I was just thinking as I drove to work yesterday that it is a compliment to his consistent high scores that I have never seen Valverde named as a pick in one of these games, and then I got home and found that someone had picked him.

Who else did we splash out more than 750 points on?

    Valverde   alone:    Kazistuta

    Nibali
with Landa:   18-Valve, Armchair_Cyclist,  Geraint TooFast, Hugo87, JustSomeGuy, Rote Laterne
       with Majka:   Comodoro, Tom-Jelte
alone:    Amis Velo,    Nairo Q, Search
    Landa
with Zakarin:   Bbass, Carlo_Algatrensig, Hakkie2, Joelsim, LeadBelly, Shalgo, Yellow Knight
       with Majka:   Laarsland
       with Chaves:   Postmanhat
alone:    ArchieBoy, Capt_Cavman, DJW, Fauniera, GodChild, Jancouver, JosephD, Kabete, LosBrolin, Murrjt, PremierAndrew, SemirS, Tigerion

    Colbrelli   with Zakarin:   Trudgin

    Zakharin   with Majka:   GPBlanco, Scrool07
alone:    Barmaher, Crevaison, LightBing, Mellow Velo, Minessa, Murali

Majka   alone:    Blues in the Bottle, Torcia86, Vladimir

    Chaves   alone:    Caruut

No rider over 750 pts      Bicycle Boy, Del1962, Josedin, Not My Circus

    Frequency of picks
There are 198 riders in the race: 86 of them are in the field for this game.  35 of them, asterisked above, are unique picks, the others are:

    33 teams   PERAUD Jean-Christophe
28     LANDA MEANA Mikel, URAN URAN Rigoberto
    23     RUFFONI Nicola
    21     BETANCUR GOMEZ Carlos Alberto
    20     KOLOBNEV Alexandr
    18     PELUCCHI Matteo
    16     KITTEL Marcel, ZAKARIN Ilnur
15     DE MARCHI Alessandro, NIEMIEC Przemyslaw
    13     ATAPUMA HURTADO Jhon Darwin
    11     NIBALI Vincenzo
    10     BATTAGLIN Enrico, PIRAZZI Stefano
9     FIRSANOV Sergey, HESJEDAL Ryder, KRUIJSWIJK Steven, POZZOVIVO Domenico
    8     FORMOLO Davide, MAJKA Rafal
    7     KADRI Blel
    6     VIVIANI Elia
5     ANTON HERNANDEZ Igor, BONGIORNO Francesco Manuel, PORSEV Alexander
4     FOLIFOROV Alexander, FUGLSANG Jakob, GENIEZ Alexandre, JUNGELS Bob, MARTINEZ POVEDA Daniel Felipe
3     AGNOLI Valerio, BELKOV Maxim, CICCONE Giulio, DEIGNAN Philip, KUDUS GHEBREMEDHIN Merhawi, KÜNG Stefan, VAN POPPEL Boy
2     ALAFACI Eugenio, BUSATO Matteo, CHAVES RUBIO Jhoan Esteban, CUNEGO Damiano, EWAN Caleb, FRAILE MATARRANZ Omar, HENAO GOMEZ Sebastian, HERNANDEZ BLAZQUEZ Jesus, HOWSON Damien, SENNI Manuel, SIMION Paolo, TOSATTO Matteo, VOROBYEV Anton

The top 9 riders would have been a bit overbudget, so I have swapped the less expensive of those with 16 pick for the less expensive of those with 15 to give an on-budget (and in fact the cheapest team in the game) as the Collective Wisdom squad as:
    LANDA MEANA Mikel
    ZAKARIN Ilnur
    URAN URAN Rigoberto
    BETANCUR GOMEZ Carlos Alberto
    PELUCCHI Matteo
    PERAUD Jean-Christophe
    NIEMIEC Przemyslaw
    RUFFONI Nicola
    KOLOBNEV Alexandr

I'm not sure what the problem with it is: I've done some trial points and it is behaving fine.

I have seen since what you mean: I had had to paste your selection into another part of the page while I retyped them in the correct format into the active cells (please use the CQ format next time).  I deleted them as I went: I guess Andreeta was the last one, so  I hadn't deleted it.

    Stage 2 The Giroprijs

    KITTEL Marcel   70   16   teams
    DEMARE Arnaud   40   0   team
    MODOLO Sacha   25   0   team
    DUMOULIN Tom   18   0   team
    HOFLAND Moreno   15   0   team
    RUFFONI Nicola   10   23   teams
    PORSEV Alexander   7   5   teams

    SBARAGLI Kristian   3   1   team
AMADOR BIKKAZAKOVA Andrey   2   1   team
    NIZZOLO Giacomo   1   0   team

Kittel doesn't disappoint those who calculated that stage win points are worth investment, and Ruffoni is already good value for 13 points (but whether he is good value for 11.11% of the spots available is another issue).  Amador turns out to be a top ten sprinter, as well as a top 3 time trialist: who would've thought it?

    Points earned
1   LightBing   87 (Kittel, Ruffoni and Porsev)
2=   Nine teams that link Kittel and Ruffoni   80
    11   Yellow_Knight   77 (Kittel and Porsev)
12   BluesInTheBottle   75 (Kittel and Ewan)
13=   The remaining four Kittel teams   70
    17=   Comodoro & Rote_Laterne   17 (Ruffoni and Porsev)
19=   Eleven other teams with Ruffoni   10
    30   Josedin   8 (Ewan & Sbaragli)
    31   JosephD   7 (Porsev)
    32   Jancouver   2 (Amador)
and 19 of us got nothing

    Standings
Guaranteed points only for now: I'll add in projected category points when those lists take on some shape.

More teams scoring higher returns than yesterday, so high correlation between today's table and this one.

Yep and sobbing like a baby i was... proper old school cyclist (and i dont mean doper) rides with his heart and soul.. if he had been alone at side of the road, he'd have got back on.

Oh well. I nearly went for him but decided against it at the last minute.

    Stage 3 Stage 2 rewound

Probably inevitable that the same riders as yesterday would feature: Kittel's teams will hope he stays around for a while, Viviani and Sbaragli, both far from cheap selections, have begun to repay those who have trusted them, and Porsev might have the consistency to be the best bargain sprinter pick.

    Stage 4 Italy at last

If I had started recording projected GC changes yet, today would have been much more interesting.  The lower echelons of the top ten had some fairly popular riders, but we missed the big scorers.

ULISSI Diego   70 points   0 team
DUMOULIN Tom   58 points   0 team
KRUIJSWIJK Steven   25 points   9 teams
VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro   15 points   1 team
BRAMBILLA Gianluca   10 points   0 team
NIBALI Vincenzo   7 points   11 teams
ZAKARIN Ilnur   5 points   16 teams
BUSATO Matteo   3 points   2 teams
CHAVES RUBIO Jhoan Esteban   2 points   2 teams
ROCHE Nicolas   1 points   1 team

    Points today
    1   18Valve   32 (Kruijswijk & Nibali)
2=   LightBing and GPBlanco   30 (Kruijswijk & Nibali)
    4   BicycleBoy   28  (Kruijswijk & Busato)

He may be out of pink, but Kittel still defines the top 16 in our early rankings.  Third and sixth today lifts LightBing into the lead, 12 teams get off the mark.

    Stage 5 A Kittel-less sprint

Not only Kitte-less, but lacking almost any selected sprinter:

GREIPEL André   70 pts   0 team
DEMARE Arnaud   40 pts   0 team
COLBRELLI Sonny   25 pts   1 team
DUMOULIN Tom   18 pts   0 team
JUNGELS Bob   15 pts   4 teams
HOFLAND Moreno   10 pts   0 team
BELLETTI Manuel   7 pts    1 team
ZABEL Rick   5 pts    0 team
PREIDLER Georg   3 pts    0 team
EWAN Caleb   2 pts    2 teams
TSATEVICH Alexei   1 pts    0  team

    Points earned
    Not many today:
    1   Trudgin   25
    2   BluesInTheBottle   17
    3   BicycleBoy   15
    3   Barmaher   15
    3   Bbass   15
    6   ArchieBoy   7
    7   Josedin   2

A unique pick of Colbrelli gives Trudgin the daily honours, Blues in the Bottle is the only one to have 2 of today's top ten (Jungels and Ewan). Blues in the Bottle was the only scorer today who is in the top 15, he rises to 4th in the guaranteed points ranking.  ArchieBoy has a mixed day: he breaks his duck, but he and Yellow Knight lose their Blue jersey/stage-hunter hope, Fraile.

    Standings
There is so little movement in the guaranteed points table, that I'll post the projected points table, if only so that the presumably very large jumps in it tomorrow have some context.

For those new to the game, the projected points table allocates the points for GC, Mountains and Points as though the Giro had finished today, as well as the stage points and pink jersey bonuses that are in the guaranteed points tables.

    1   BicycleBoy   991
    2   BluesInTheBottle   946
    3   LightBing   902
    4   Barmaher   820
