  • Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

I thought riders weren't allowed to wear their new jerseys until the contract with their old team officially ended at the end of the year? It is a good looking jersey, by the way.
They normally aren't, as they're still paid by the old team.
However, PFP's wages are allegedly paid by the French cycling federation and/or French army (can't quite remember the details), so Rabo can't really use that argument. And as the team sponsor is stopping, they probably don't care too much.

On topic, good move for Ferrand-Prevot. For next year rather than have a few superteams and not much else, we have one superteam with Boels and then a lot of good teams like Fortitude, Canyon, Wiggle, Liv, Orica, etc. Boels are still ridiculous, but overall the talent is spread more evenly than it was in recent years.

Well, on paper Boels will be just as good as this season. But a new year can always bring surprises.. All it takes is 2 or 3 of their top riders to be less than this year, and suddenly they're not that dominant anymore. It's a post olympic year after all, and most of their riders have signed new 2 year contracts, so next year will be a year of no pressure for most of them, which can be either positive or negative for their performances.

It's that time of year again when rumours start and transfers start, so I thought I'd start a thread.

    I have no rumours.

    Nor transfer news.

Three women will join the Lotto Soudal Ladies team next year. The Belgians Annelies Dom (30) and Kaat Van der Meulen (21) make the transfer from the Lensworld – Zannata team. The Dutch rider Puck Moonen (20) is now riding for Autoglas Wetteren. They all signed a contract for one season.
