The British star is the one that many had hoped. Not going to name names but she has been very outspoken against EPO. She has a very interesting excuse. She was pregnant......which is odd as normally pregnancy lowers Hct.

Some of the numbers on the list are insane. Off scores for a man of 167, a woman of 170. That is freaking insane.

Do you have a link to the figures RR?

Possibly, but she has been speaking out against doping for a long time now so this is nothing less than expected..

But if she knew that she was involved with all this and yet she nevertheless speaks out so heavily against it and with no mention of her own implication.. well that just smells a bit fishy.

Downside: this is going to be like when the mainstream discovers your favourite underground garage band.

Cue lots of journos running muddy, hesitant copy, unable to see what's wrong with off-scores that make Kreuziger or even Armstrong look like virgins. Cue lots of ridiculous, pseudo excuses that countless readers will take at face value because they haven't already heard two decades of such BS. You're going to have tolerate a lot more foolishness.

Upside: this will leave you feeling superior, sophisticated and intelligent for being into pro cycling.

Another upside: Finally fans of other sports (and journos as well) will have to get into HCT, retic scores, VO2max and the like. If they don't just turn a blind eye, that is.

Valid point: it is the alternative lifeform question.

To ponder at the existence of other solar systems of sports forums out there specialising in a crowdsourced study of the minutiae of doping, with an ecosystem which actually thrives on open acknowledgement and discussion of the issues.

No. For some of the athletes, like the GB star, there are no numbers. Their name is on the list but there are no numbers next to them. Odd

British T&F stars of the last decade in no particular order

    Kelly Holmes
    Jess Ennis
    Paula Radcliffe
    christine Ohuruogu
    Mo Farah
    Greg Rutherford

and possibly (Kelly Sotherton and Dai Green)

I might have missed somebody, but we're talking about a short list.

2 of that list are the wrong gender for pregnancy

CO has allready got a prior doping offence so would likely be the least damaging to UK athletics

If the picture is not a mock up, but a distorted version of the true image, and assuming that the names are listed surname first, then the balance of relatively long surname, shortish forename is telling.

The IAAF list is comprised of athletes with suspicious Hct and Off Scores. While some sprinters use EPO the majority of athletes using oxygen vector doping are distance runners.

Several people have seen the list but the GB Star's lawyers are super aggressive. They have made it clear to the UK media if her name is made public she will aggressively sue.

The entire list needs to be made public, not just one GB athlete's name. Not every country has the UK's absurd libel laws, this can't stay quite forever.

the whole list will leak, likely fairly soon.

RR, do you know of any UK "super injunctions" out on the uk star?

if someone is only worried about the uk athletes, leaking the document with precisely blacked out names for the brits will allow a very quick analysis of type faces and names to be done by amateur sleuths and people can start reporting it.

At this stage everyone who has tried to find out has probably discovered that it was the uk star who was outspoken about epo but many people pegged as O2 vector doping a long time ago due to performances that were very much "not normal"

Not really an expert of this, but there were once claims of links between the two.. apparently as Shvetsov was operating in Albuquerque where Paula did a lot of her 'altitude' raining. Once again similar to Tenerife it seems like Albuquerque (or however you spell it) was frequented very frequently by athletes doing Altitude training so it is a tenuous link at best.

Apparently though a lot of the athletes who trained in Albuquerque were busted down the line, but not sure on any numbers/names/figures for that. But it looks pretty bad.

Once again my attitude is these don't amount to anything, without serious evidence, but are at least something to connsider.
