I Evie and Abbott will be looking forward to it I think as well

Yep for any stage with this much climbing Abott will be a big favourite. But Stevens is an excellent climber as well, and Longo Borghini could do well too. And, of course, Van der Breggen has some ground to make up.

Going to be a very interesting stage.

Abbott is 2 min after the Mortirolo from a lone chaser in Pooley then there is 2 min to a group containing  Guarnier, Stevens, Lichtenberg, Niewiadoma, vdBreggen, Longo Borghini, Vysotska & Schweizer

25 km to go but Abbott is holding her lead

Impressive by Abbott! Should hold on to win her third Giro Rosa from here. Didn't expect Pooley to be this strong, great to see.

She takes the pink! Longo Borghini second at 37 seconds. Stevens was dropped by the chasers and loses 2 minutes on Abbott.

I am really looking forward to the highlights of this.

Yep would have been a brilliant stage to watch. The parcours seemed to work rather well too, with the top of the climb halfway through the short stage.

Initially reports said Longo Borghini was with Niewiadoma. Any idea if she was dropped, or did she have to drop back to help Abbott?

Niewiadoma must have had a very bad day yesterday if she can do all this today again. Will probably take the climbers jersey here, and possibly the stage although there is a long way to go for that. GC is already lost for her, no way she'll make up 4 minutes today.

we think ELB dropped back to help Abbott but no one knows

Niewiadoma had some heart issues yesterday it seems, all ok to ride the Rabo crew said she was angry and wanted to make it right ( or something like that) is it GC or KOM or both she is after?

So only Longo Borghini missing out from the GC favourites. Must have spend too much energy early in the stage, she seemed to be better than this last couple of days.

One final climb.. Can Abbott go again? Or someone slightly fresher like Van der Breggen?
