Italian names most often. Davide Rebellin, Danilo Di Luca, Riccardo Ricco, Domenico Pozzovivo, Sonny Colbrelli... Some Spanish names have that same kind of quality, like Alejandro Valverde.

Or the really down-to-earth Dutch names. Rob Ruijgh, Albert Timmer, Kai Reus.

And besides having minor crush on the person, I also really like the name Fabian Cancellara.

    • Christopher Juul-Jensen Because Juul is a family name, which  in Norwegian usually comes out spoken just like hjul which translates to wheel. Right name for a cyclist!
    • Tao Geoghagan Hart Just when you thought you could speak English
    • Edvald Boasson Hagen It tastes of the only true Arctic animal that lives in pelotons, Boazo is a nickname for EBH but the lappish word for reindeer!
    • Andrey Amador. I mean, he is professional, right?  :D

I tend to like the names that Google translate changes into something completely wrong that becomes their online nickname

ie Mikel Snow aka Mikel Neive

I usually like Italian Christian names:

    Costante Girardengo
    Fiorenzo Magni
    Felice Gimondi
    Loretto Petrucci

Otherwise for last name, rather in Germanic languages (perhaps because I'm francophone):

Edwig Van Hooydonck (his name impressed me as a kid, probably why I became a fan), Rudi Altig, Jasper Stuyven, Rik Van Steenbergen, Gerrie Knetemann, Rik Van Linden, Herman Van Springel, Frans Verbeeck, the De Vlaeminck brothers.

Also among the female rider: Thalita De Jong or Fabiana Luperini.

By the way Raymond Poulidor said that his popularity might have come from his name. General De Gaulle said "Poulidor" sounded nice.

Some names have never failed to make me laugh:

    Dino Zandegu or Yannick Talabardon.

For English native, I guess Oscar Egg sounds funny but I knew about him before learning English.  :P

Still in the Latin-related Christian name, Germanic-related name combo:

    Gianni Meersman
Anisha Vekemans (OKAY Anisha is not latin at all but sounds like it, beautiful Christian name and beautiful combo)
    Gianni Denolf
    Aldo Moser

    Some beautiful other Italian names:

    Carmine Preziosi
    Romeo Venturelli
    Roberto Visentini
    Flaviano Vicentini
    Tiziano Dall'Antonia
    Valerio Agnoli
