Unless it is new ones and riders like Bobridge and the Novo guys are not counted as they get counted in the 1st year they received the TUE

I will ask

I brought up the point about Novo elsewhere, a couple of days back.
TBH, I thought I'd read it somewhere on here too.
Evidently, I was wrong.........................again. :fp

Anyhow, I haven't read the answer to whether or not they are exempt from the usual TUE protocol.
So get digging. ;) :D

    From the USADA advisory page

"An athlete diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes is required to submit a TUE for use of insulin"

    http://www.usada.org/substances/prohibited-list/athlete-guide/

Can someone with a condition like diabetes receive a lifelong TUE? If so I guess that TUE would only count against the year that it is first granted in the yearly TUE counts.

I guess that is a question  #novonordisk knows the answer to!  :(

PS: you wouldn't want it if you could get it...it is a life-long hassle.

    - but those leaked files don't seem to include too many explosive information.

I entirely concur. I am actually heartened that this is all that a hacker, intent on causing disruption, dismay, and dishonor, could find. "This is all you've got?" Yup. This is like finding a single misspelled word in a ten-page essay by an ESL learner.

The Russians tend to overemphasize the "you're picking on us" thing. On the one hand, they are often right - the west typically stereotypes the Russians in a bad light. But on the other hand, it means that everyday Russians still think they are being picked on even when somebody in the Russian heirarchy has lived up to the stereotyped hype for Mr. Nasty.

You have to bear in mind what they've hacked. If they'd have hacked Stefano Ferrari's emails it may all have been very different!

To my mind this looks like Sky have pushed the boundaries to the limit. It's unethical but legal, and given what we've heard again and again these corticos are still very prevalent OOC.

Having a hard job of convincing the Sky fans of this on BR who can't see anything wrong with this at all.

EDIT: The only mitigating factor here is that their other GT leaders haven't followed that pattern. In fact Froome refused one in the 2015 Tour last week.

The other mitigating factor might be what is written in the small print of Brad's TUEs.
Of course, I'm only speculating here, but it's how I read it.

Aye, but don't forget Inhalergate. I've been speculating the past couple years that this is what's goin' on - pushing the rules to the limit. I'm disappointed to see my speculation be validated.

But I am still encouraged, if this is the worst they find, then the system is, more or less, working as it is supposed to. We can still make changes and refinements.

so confirmed 20 Novo riders take Insulin and therefore are on TUEs + Bobridge = at least 21 riders riding with long term TUEs therefore the 13 must be new or short term TUEs

The UCI has not responded yet ( not to me to someone they should )

so there was at least 34 TUEs for 2015 not the 13 reported - nice little Grey area book work by the UCI

Not quite the question, therefore not the answer I was hoping for, jsg.
I had automatically assumed they all took insulin, given they were type 1 diabetics.
You say long term TUE, I if wondered whether they had one, career long TUE.
Therefore not granted annually, therefore not on the annual figures.

I had thought they had some type 2 riders, but I needed to be a bit smart with the question until the UCI responded or it mentioned in a story

    Long term or career

I assumed that riders like Bobridge and the Novo guys will have career long TUEs we know Jacky Boy does from the hack info, and they much not be included in the annual figures it doesn´t add up on my fingers and toes otherwise  :D

Interesting point: Pat Read the US golfer has a 4 year TUE, so I guess that answers the Team Novo Nordisk question.

What does the lack of dates on the Fuglsang TUE mean? It's got him down as a Mtn Biker so presumably it started a long while ago. But did it end?

McQuaid? I thought he had totally made himself irrelevant. I couldn't believe him if he said the sky is blue. I'd have to go check.

Do Cancellara's short term steriod scrips coincide with any of his victories? Oh, look, I can answer my own question. Or, more accurately, Velonews answered my question for me. The answer is no. And they add a couple of uncomfortable pics of a swollen-faced Canc.

    http://velonews.competitor.com/2016/09/news/cancellara-schurter-added-list-tue-leaks_421393

I'm still looking around to see where they have any real septic-worthy material. I still fail to find anything with more than faint odeur. I don't really even see any smoke ("where there's smoke, there is fire?"). This seems to me akin to Trump trying to blame Hillary for the birther brouhaha. To trump that with another trite trope: "Where's the beef?"
