Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

would make sense I guess. After Roubaix he was always likely to leave BMC, so doing that donkey work for an old friend instead sounds like a decent option, if he can't manage to get a leadership role elsewhere

    #lotto Lotto-Soudal is interested in #orica Jens Keukeleire. He would like to stay with the team but as Greenedge's future isn't secured yet for 2018, signing elsewhere could be an option

    #fdj Odd Christian Eiking is considering to change teams. He likes the atmosphere at FDJ but it sounds like he wants to earn more money.

    So he may very well end up at Joker I guess  :shh

    You need to get better at Norwegian. :P

    What he actually says is that his Boucles de l'Aulne victory helped his chances of a higher salary, that most riders aren't sent 'home' after 2-3 years, that he performed well last year and this year and showed that he has the level. He gets on better and better in the team, there were some problems last year, but it's better now, and being on a French team helps with getting better at French.

    I'd say that Eiking & Laukka are just doing the 'usual stuff' to get a bit more money out of the #fdj budget, and he'll sign a new contract there within the next four weeks. :shh

    Can we maybe have an emoji of this guy to symbolize him?

    Joona Laukka is a genius agent or that's what I used to think because he couldn't find a good team for Alexander Kamp last year. In the infamous stage in TDF 1997 with eight guys from Festina Lotus in the lead group of fifteen in a mountain stage the only one not there was Laukka. He changed to Lotto the following season and then to Acceptcard but was never as strong again like he had been in his early years for Festina. Brian Holm was DS for Acceptcard and he talked about how Laukka was super serious with training and weighed meals and stuff but was still nowhere in races. It seems that sometime in 1997 he decided not to be with Festina and not with the program anymore.

    So that's Gallopin, Roelandts and Vervaeke all potentially leaving.

    #katusha Alexander Kristoff --> either #katusha Katusha, #uae UAE or #astana Astana

    a lot will depend on Aru's decision though. Kristoff is willing to accept a ~15% pay cut (~1,7 million Euro per year instead of 2) , but no team is able to afford both of them

    Seeing Viviani leaving Sky, I wouldn't rule out that possibility any more. Even though Sky is mostly about the GC in July, they also have ambitions in the classics, and may be the team with deep enough pockets. Team Sky also have a DS that knows a lot about cobbles and that happens to be Norwegian.

    The other Norwegian that could fill the void left by Viviani could be #joker #rainbow Kristoffer Halvorsen. Just my speculation.

    Duchesne ---------> ???

    He had the temerity to get an agent last year and JRB refuses to use them for contract negotiations.

    Quote
    Duchesne expects to find a place in the European pack next year. "Right now, everything is under negotiation, but I should not be in the street," he said. I have my place on the World Tour, and that's where I'm settling. "

    He has two options now:
    1) find another team, or
    2) swallow the bitter pill, drop his agent, and hope Bernaudeau takes him in again.

    Option 1 is the better option for the rider (not to mention his agent!) and also sounds more likely.

    August Jensen with some PCT offers. Since they saw him first-hand at the Tour of Norway, my uninspired guesses would be Fortuneo and Aqua Blue.
