The article also says that "the Austrian climber will be the last signing of the German WorldTeam". Ergo.....

Archbold + Barta + Herklotz + Mendes -----> ???

    Well spotted!
    Although "last signing" could well refer to new signings, since the others are contract renewals.
    :slow

    Something else I'm scratching my head about is the URL which includes "argonnews", twice. Is this some sort of content management system (like WordPress etc.), or is it a leftover from when the team was sponsored by Argon 18 that nobody bothered to remove?

    #colpack Giovanni Carboni --> #bardiani Bardiani - CSF

    Quote
    The Bardiani-CSF roster for 2018 is taking shape. Giovanni Carbone, Italian rider of U23 Team Colpack-Marchiol, is fourth addition for the new season after Andrea Guardini, Manuel Senni and Daniel Savini.

    Born in 1995, Carboni stand out in U23 with good skill as rouleur and grimpeur. He recently raced the U23 World Road Race and, always in 2017, he raced with Italian Team Tour de l’Avenir and five pro events (Trofeo Laigueglia, GP Larciano, Settimana Coppi e Bartali, Coppa Agostoni and Coppa Bernocchi). He only missed the U23 Giro d’Italia due to the fracture of ulna.
    In U23 Carboni collected five wins, all in 2017: Astico-Brenta, stage and classification at Giro del Veneto, stage at Giro della Valle d’Aosta and Trofeo Zanchi. Before wearing Team Colpak jersey he raced with Continental teams Unieuro-Trevigiani (2015 and 2016) and Area Zero (2014).

    Quotes of Bruno and Roberto Reverberi, team managers Bardiani-CSF

    “Carboni is ready for professional cycling and he’s at the peak for his maturity as U23. We needed to add a reliable rider both for flat routes both for climbing: without any doubts, he has the perfect profile. He already have few and positive experiences among the pros and for us this is the proof he can immediately perform well”.

    Quotes of Giovanni Carboni

    “Becoming a pro-rider is the end of the gradual process I started to conduct since I was a child. It’s a dream that comes trues. Of course it was not easy, especially this year when I had to stop due to injury. But the confidence that I could reach my target never failed”.

    “I want to thank Bardiani-CSF for this chance. I feel ready to be a pro but I also know I have to learn a lot. I’ll be in the right team to grow and to make experience racing an important calendar. At the end, I already know few of the guys present in the team and it’s important to facilitate race synergy”.

    “I’m excited thinking about 2018 and I can’t wait to start. There will be a lot of changes in my life and I’m fully motivated to do everything at my best. I’m going to built a new career and I hope to follow the same steps of the talents who came out from the #GreenTeam”.

    ...and as I completely missed the other signing mentioned in there:

    #uae Andrea Guardini --> #bardiani Bardiani - CSF

    so he should finally get the chance to return to Langkawi - Bardiani has been around for the past three editions at least :cool

    In 2016 they even incorporated the colours of the *de flag into the team logo!

    Now it appears to be all for Sagan, Majka, and Mühlberger.

    Sure, it still says "German Professional Cycling":

    They must think that Buchmann, Ackermann, and Selig are enough German talents for one team. Which is alright, I guess - if they weren't signing every single *at rider with WT potential. :shh

    Here's a DS transfer for once:
    http://www.procycling.no/edvald-gino-veldig-dyktig/

    Gino van Oudenhove #joker --> #didata

    Gino has been the DS of Joker since the days it was still sponsored by Maxbo, not Joker (and had EBH on its squad). It's a huge loss for this Norwegian Conti team, and a clear signal by #didata that they trust in EBH and will do just about anything to make him feel good.

    There is a chance that I've missed it but does Moscon have a team for next year? I think his original contract with Sky was for 2 years so runs out this season and I haven't seen anything about them renewing. If they don't who would want him. A rider who although clearly multi talented based on his performances this season would you touch a rider who racially abuses a rival and the gets DSQ'ed from the world champs for a Sticky bottle.

    He's not down as definitely staying on either PCS nor CQranking - that's good enough for me to assume that he doesn't have a new contract yet.

    That said, I think he'll be re-signed by Sky; just look at what he did for Froome in the Vuelta.
    And the PR problems he brings .. well, they are familiar with those. :P

    #anpost Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz --> #delko Delko Marseille Provence KTM

    Quote
    Team Delko Marseille Provence KTM is glad to announce you the signature of the talented Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz for years 2018 and 2019.
    The 23-year-old rider comes from Poland. His current Team is An Post Chain Reaction, an Irish continental team and he is trainee for WT Quick-Step Floors too.
    This year, he has already won the 8th stage of An Post Ras and 5th stage of Tour of Bretagne. His style, rouleur-puncheur, gives him a chance on a lot of races with the team.

    Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz: “I am very happy that I will be part of this big Team for the next two years.
    I have been talking with Team Manager for a long time. I really liked the vision of this Team. Every detail is important for me because now cycling is based on details: a great preparation for the season and a great program for my personal characteristics.
    I hope that from the first day I can enjoy my ride with Delko Marseille Provence KTM and that we will create a super team together.
    And of course I love France, the most beautiful Country just after Poland!”

    #anpost Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz --> #delko Delko Marseille Provence KTM
    Nice signing, and good for Kasperkiewicz that he found a pro team.

    Mendes + Simon -------> #burgos ?

    I was hoping Jordi might have been making this move. :)
    José Mendes is a done deal according to CQranking, Simón not confirmed yet.

    In other news, a DS transfer rumour (that is possibly better discussed in the Dark Side ...):
    http://www.tuttobiciweb.it/2017/10/02/105545/olivano-locatelli-tuttobiciweb-gazprom
    #palazzago Team Palazzago DS Olivano Locatelli (of anecdotal infamy about letting his riders practically starve) is in negotiations with #gazprom "Gazprom RusVelo Colnago", as they call the team in the article. :shh
