Raymond Kreder #roompot --> #ukyo

Ukyo must be paying alright-ish for a Conti team to attract the riders they do (Aberasturi, Prades, Pujol, Earle, now one of the Kreders).

another new "big" name on their roster is Marc de Maar. Apparently they plan to turn Pro Conti in 2019 - and as we all know, every mediocre PCT team needs a Kreder[1] ;)

#hengxiang Marc de Maar --> #ukyo Team Ukyo

    Still nothing for Stussi.

    Quote
    Although he is still in the waiting list at the beginning of December, Stüssi remains optimistic that he will at least get a contract with a third division

    It's insane if he can't even get a CT contract.

    From their twitter page:

    No Manninen[1]? However there are only 9 names we can partially see.

    Can we guess the bottom two. First one ends in "rs" and the second in "g". Nationalities are probably Dutch or NZ.

    Roy Eefting and Roy Pieters were both at that track championship the other month.

    Sounds like his family still lives in the UK, so going back there and joining this new British team is probably a good decision for him, personally. He said he had "big things" to announce just a couple of weeks ago though, so who knows what's still to come from him

    There's bound to be a Florian or a Pascal in there though.

    Going off on a tangent, any 0711 news? I saw Ballet was off to Japan and a couple of others went back to the amateurs, but no new signings?

    "I'm really excited to be back with my first team, it feels like home. They have a killer race program which will give me plenty of opportunity to prove myself and return to the top level of the sport. It's going to be great," von Hoff said of signing with Bennelong SwissWellness.

    As the top National Road Series (NRS) team across the 2017 season, Bennelong SwissWellness can field five riders in the UniSA-Australia wildcard team at next month's Tour Down Under. A stage winner with UniSA-Australia in 2015, von Hoff could return for the 20th edition of the stage race.

    Hey, I predicted the right country, if not the correct level of UCI license.
    Partial credit? :D

    Let's have another prediction:
    *ch Colin Stüssi is 24 years old & will turn 25 next year. #roth are apparently going to be U23 next year, and in any case Stüssi has had such a great season that ProConti teams will have noticed him.
    But where to? Well, he's been with Roth since 2015 when the team was (at least) half-Italian. #bardiani only hire Italians these days, #androni only hire Italians and Latin Americans ... that leaves Wilier and Nippo. And Wilier aren't exactly eager to sign foreigners either, while Nippo has almost 50% foreigners (even if most of those are Japanese and thus not total foreigners since Nippo is a Japanese sponsor). So:

    Colin Stüssi #roth --> #nippo

    In what Israel Cycling Academy has called, “A heart breaking decision,” the first Israeli professional cycling team has agreed to release Turkish champion Ahmet Orken from his UCI contract upon his request.

    Ahmet Orken said in a statement, “I am so thankful for the opportunity I received from Israel Cycling Academy. Unfortunately, recent events have forced my hand. My family in Konya--and especially my mother and brother--have found themselves in a dire situation. While I am thankful to be a professional cyclist, I am a dedicated son and brother first and foremost. I remain deeply thankful to the team, I have been treated like family from the very beginning. This was a unique opportunity for me both on and off the bike. I will continue to cheer for this program moving forward--both on and off the bike.”

    Real shame for him.
