Hey guys, looks like the Giro is in full swing and it should be interesting to see how it affects the game!

Just a note - I still need someone to volunteer to do the updates for the month of June and the month of July - I'm envisioning this being two different people, but if someone feels ambitious and wants to do both, they are of course welcome. Please reply on this thread or in PM if you are interested.

And of course, thanks to murrjt for doing an excellent job so far on the updates in May!

Update #18 - Total Package racks up the points

Whilst there were stages for World Tour races taken into account for this update there was only one professional race that handed out GC points, that and the way the results played out means this isn't the highest scoring week, however it counts just as much as the update in a fortnight after the Giro when it comes to the green jersey and write up!

    Weekly High Scorers

    Rank Team Points
    1    Total Package   327
    2    lenissart   319
    3    Eyeballs Out   304
    4    Hakkie2   289
    5    comodoro   282

This weeks winner is Total Package, they are one of just two people to select Clement Venturini (Hakkie2 being the other) whose stage placings and GC win in Dunkerque accounted for 60% of their winning points total, other contributions came from Giro stage winner Caleb Ewan and Yuri Trofimov's overall victory in his first race of the year in Moscow.

In second place lenissart got most of their points from stage wins in the Giro, three in a row coming from Fernando Gaviria, Silvan Dillier and Ewan, third place Eyeballs Out has the same three riders however they don't have Trofimov which made the difference, comodoro in fifth got a fair few points from Mauro Finetto who finished 6th in Dunkerque and in doing so moved into profit for the year.

Magnumpti who finished 7th has the second least popular team and all of their points came from four riders, Oliver Naesen, Florian Senechal, Adrien Petit and Jakub Mareczko, none of whom are on more than three teams.

    Weekly High Movers

    Rank Team Up/Down
    1    lenissart    (+14)
    2    abbulf    (+12)
    3    Hakkie2    (+10)
    4=    Jakob747    (+9)
    4=    Eyeballs Out    (+9)

lenissart is the biggest mover this week and is now in the top 50, last years third place finisher abbulf has advanced 12 places. Jakob747 was up this time partially due to Zakarin's 2nd place on Etna. None of the movement listed is at the business end but just outside the top five is Total Package who has gone from 30th to 23rd.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank Team Points
    1    the asian   139
    2    Geraint Too Fast   136
    3    Kazistuta   127
    4    GP Blanco   117
5=    Blues in the bottle   112
    5=    fauniera   112

A Pinot fueled Geraint Too Fast continued to do well placing 8th this week and the accompanying 16 points has put them in second position as well as into the top 20 in the main game. Blues in the bottle scoring points for the second week in a row moves them into a tie for fifth and tom_jelte has moved into the top ten.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank Up/Down Team  Points
    1     (-)       jeroenk    6026
    2     (-)       Googolplex    5947
    3=     (+1)       Maaaaaaaarten    5783
    3=     (+2)       18-Valve. (pithy)    5783
    5     (-2)       Kazistuta    5773
    6     (+1)       tom_jelte    5766
    7     (-1)       the asian    5741
    8     (+1)       fauniera    5736
    9     (-2)       GP Blanco    5698
    10     (-)       Squire    5574

The top two this week are unchanged although jeroenk has slightly extended their lead over Googolplex, we have a tie for the final podium place between 18-Valve. (pithy) and Maaaaaaaarten. There is plenty of movement within the top ten however there are no new entries this week, Blues in the bottle gets close though as they are up 4 places into 11th. Currently 3rd through 8th is very tight with less than 50 points separating them.

Despite being downbeat over his team Jancouver finished 20th this week and is now only one point behind the winner of this years edition.

Update #19 - The Vikings are coming

The attacking vikings has selected an all Scandinavian team which is lowest in the popularity rankings, which during a week like this when the Tour of Norway is on has paid dividends, in fact more than 80% of their points came from that race. The main contributor was double stage winner and overall victor Edvald Boasson Hagen, they also had two other people who finished in the top ten with August Jensen and Andreas Vangstad. The majority of points from outside of that race were scored by Vegard Stake Laengen who finished 6th in California.

Second placed CQmanager had unique pick Tom Dumoulin's two giro stage wins and time in the pink jersey to thank for 251 of their points this week, they also had another giro double stage winner, Fernando Gaviria, elsewhere their main input came from Richard Carapaz's 4th place on GC in Spain. Squire's third place was also partly due to Gaviria but it was in Castilla y Leon where most points were accrued as they have Jonathan Hivert and Jaime Roson who finished 1st and 2nd overall respectively as well as the aforementioned Carapaz.

Other things of note, Poles & Co. perhaps unsurprisingly has Rafal Majka a unique pick whose 2nd place in California netted them 248 points, which is just under half of their weekly total. Guybrush who placed 6th this update also had a unique pick who performed well, this time it was the man who finished ahead of Majka, George Bennett. As far as I can tell seemingly a week where unique picks had more of an impact than usual but I might be wrong.

    Weekly High Scorers

    Rank Team Points
    1 the attacking vikings   571
    2      CQmanager   565
    3      Squire   525
    4      Poles & Co.   511
    5      simple   490

Some big movement this time although none of it that near to the top, CQmanager is up to 74th, Poles and co., simple and barmaher have all advanced into the top 50, the latter two in part due to a solid performance from Ian Boswell.

    Weekly High Movers

    Rank Team Up/Down
    1 CQmanager     (+26)
    2 Poles & Co.     (+22)
    3= Guybrush     (+20)
    3= simple     (+20)
    5= Jakob747     (+10)
    5= barmaher     (+10)
    5= merengues     (+10)

After finishing seventh this update the asian has increased their lead which had been reduced in recent weeks, tom_jelte picked up enough points to move into the top five, whilst squire's third place means they are just outside the top ten.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank Team Points
    1      the asian   157
    2      Geraint Too Fast   136
    3      Kazistuta   127
    4      GP Blanco   117
    5      tom_jelte   114

For the third week in a row jeroenk is the leader however we have two new teams in the top three, the asian has moved up from 7th into 2nd and tom_jelte from 6th to 3rd and there is only 40 points separating the podium. Squire is another big mover within the top 10 as they are now into 4th after their strong week. We have no new entries in the ten but plenty of movement within it as former long time leader Googolplex drops down from the podium last week to 9th this whilst Kazistuta is now in tenth position. There were some fairly sizable points differences between the top ten teams this week.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank Up/Down Team  Points
    1     (-)          jeroenk    6200
    2     (+5)          the asian    6187
    3     (+3)          tom_jelte    6160
    4     (+6)          Squire    6099
    5     (+3)          fauniera    6059
    6     (-3)          18-Valve. (pithy)    6038
    7     (-4)          Maaaaaaaarten    6009
    8     (+1)          GP Blanco    6002
    9     (-7)          Googolplex    5991
    10     (-5)          Kazistuta    5895

Next week will be the update after the Giro (and the monthly one) so we will see if that provides a shakeup with the amount of points that are on offer. The spreadsheet can be viewed/downloaded here

Update #20 - Massive points haul for zlev11

Seven people scored over 1000 points this week but zlev11 was a level above the rest with more than 1500, as would be expected to achieve this lots of points came from the Giro general classification where they had Nibali, Zakarin and Pozzovivo. They also got stage wins from Nibali and Landa as well as the equivalent from both the mountains and points classifications. Elsewhere their main contribution came from Benoot who achieved his 13th top ten of the year by finishing 7th overall in the Tour of Belgium.

Manafana had Nibali and Zakarin but also stage 17 winner Pierre Rolland, in Belgium they had Wout Van Aert who finished 10th and in France they had the winner of GP de Plumelec-Morbihan with Alexis Vuillermoz. Wallenquist has Nibali and Landa but also Tejay van Garderen who won stage 18 of the Giro, these three make up most of their points but some minor contributions came from Laurens de Plus and Lennard Kamna who finished 5th in Tour de Fjords.

CQmanager is the only person to have selected Tom Dumoulin and they were rewarded as 607 points out of their weekly total of 1008 came from the Giro winner.

    Weekly High Scorers

    Rank Team Points
    1    zlev11  1530
    2    Manafana  1260
    3    Wallenquist  1086
    4    bort  1052
    5    Crevaison  1040

Similarities between this and the previous table, as can be seen there is some massive movement this week with zlev11 moving from the 100s to 61st, Wallenquist has advanced into the top 50, Falze and Crevaison (+22) are both just outside the top 30 and CQmanager is now 51st whilst Bort (+18) is up into 15th

    Weekly High Movers

    Rank Team Up/Down
    1    zlev11    (+53)
    2    Manafana    (+37)
    3    Wallenquist    (+27)
    4    Falze    (+24)
    5    CQmanager    (+23)

Unsurprisingly given the sheer weight of points scored this week the two best monthly performers did very well in this update, outside of those that scored most points this week Gaviria contributed 438 points for zlev11, the sum total of Dumoulin's impressive Giro was 890 points which made up 43% of CQmanager's total this month. Geraint Too Fast had good showings most weeks, Pinot, Gaviria and Pozzovivo being their main scorers. Hugo Koblet's good month has seen them move into the top ten whilst Squire is now on the podium, Hivert being a non-Giro pick who performed well.

    Monthly High Scorers

    Rank Team Points
    1        zlev11  2090
    2        CQmanager  2067
    3        Geraint Too Fast  1830
    4        Hugo Koblet  1769
    5        Squire  1682

Manafana has moved up from 109th to 78th, Geraint Too Fast is now sitting in 11th and abbulf has climbed to 64th, not as big a mover but object climbing 12 places this month means they are now in the top ten.

    Monthly High Movers

    Rank Team Up/Down
    1       CQmanager    (+55)
    2       zlev11    (+52)
    3       Manafana    (+31)
    4       abbulf    (+29)
    5       Geraint Too Fast    (+27)

Er...not much to say here as the entire top twenty is unchanged, zlev11 getting the 45 points this week has helped them into 30th, CQmanager following up last weeks second place with 6th this means they are now 22nd.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank Team Points
    1      the asian  157
    2      Geraint Too Fast  136
    3      Kazistuta  127
    4      GP Blanco  117
    5      tom_jelte  114

Last weeks leader jeroenk has dropped 12 places! The people who were second through fourth last week have all moved up one place meaning the asian is now the new leader, as previously mentioned Object (TJVG, Landa & Rolland) and Hugo Koblet (Zakarin & Landa) are new entries this week, regular top ten member 18-Valve. (pithy) has dropped 16 places to 22nd, both that had big drops only really had Gaviria contributing points from the end of the Giro.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank Up/Down Team Points
    1    (+1)     the asian  6908
    2    (+1)     tom_jelte  6829
    3    (+1)     Squire  6741
    4    (+3)     Maaaaaaaarten  6730
    5    (+3)     GP Blanco  6643
    6    (+7)     Object  6627
    7    (-2)     fauniera  6610
    8    (+9)     Hugo Koblet  6590
    9    (-)     Googolplex  6524
    10    (-)     Kazistuta  6517

The spreadsheet can be viewed/downloaded here

Thanks to Squire who has volunteered to take over the updates for June.

Post GT is always a good time to do a mid-term report.

    Pure Gold

    Zakarin
    Gaviria
S Yates - would have preferred him to ride the Giro instead of the Tour, but hey ho
    Kwiatkowski
    Felline
Benoot - a fairly anonymous 500 points though
    Bernal
    Mraouni

    8 Carat

Alaphilippe - it was looking so good, but injuries mean it could be a struggle to break even
    Teuns - the new Jelle?
    Tvetcov
Sivakov - looks good for more scoring
    Neilands
    Reyes
    E Planckaert
    Kasperkiewicz
    J Diaz
    Hirschi

    Iron Pyrite

Moscon - could still get into profit, but here for other reasons...
    Madrazo - working for Finetto
    Bille
Albanese - injured early in the year
    Perry
    Schreurs
    Kanter
    Lemus
    Drouin - busted
    Irisarri
    J Rodriguez - he's nothing special
O Goldstein - being on the devo team hasn't given the best opportunities
Phounsavath - not his fault, but the team's
    Beltran - still injured?
McNulty - injured for a while, still hopeful of some late season points

I've still got nine riders who haven't scored yet... :fp :lol

    Squire's update on CN
Update #21: From Blues to green for this week's MVP

After the heady post-Giro days, this week was bound to be a bit more slow. Yet, an inordinate number of 2.1 races (and one 2.HC) handed out plenty of CQ points. If only any teams had riders riding them...

The Boucles de la Mayenne proved the most fertile hunting grounds for this week's winner, Blues in the bottle, who picked up 397 points in total. Rare pick Mathieu van der Poel absolutely dominated the small race in northwest France, podiuming the first two stages before going on to win the last two and the overall for a total of 171 CQ points. Sky's win in the novelty that was the Hammer series also provided our weekly winner with healthy contributions from Boswell, Doull and Viviani. They scored 28, 29 and 30 points respectively.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
1   Blues in the bottle   397
    2   Hakkie2   346
    3   Eric10   314
    4   EvansIsTheBest   291
    5   abbulf   282

Mathieu van der Poel is picked 9 times, and the top 9 teams all have him. No contest for most important CQ pick this week. Second-placed Hakkie2 supplements the 171 Van der Poel points with 86 from Venturini, but didn't have anywhere near the amount of lesser scorers that Blues in the bottle had.

Poles & Co in 10th is the first non-MvP team. They had their own 2.1 winner in unique pick Paterski.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Hakkie2   (+16)
    2   PunchingRouleur   (+14)
    3   EvansIsTheBest   (+13)
    4   Eric10   (+10)
    5   Jancouver   (+8)
5   Blues in the bottle   (+8)
    5   rote_laterne   (+8)

Hakkie2 wins the climbing contest with a jump of 16 placings. PunchingRouleur and EvansIsTheBest follow closely in 2nd and 3rd. The non-Van der Poel team of Jancouver makes the top 5 here with Schlegel and a lot of Hammer scorers.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
1   Blues in the bottle   157
    1   the asian   157
    3   Geraint Too Fast   136
    4   Kazistuta   127
    5   Kryvo   126

With their second weekly win, Blues in the bottle makes it into the green jersey, sharing the lead with the asian. If they met at a traffic light party, they'd probably get along well. Kryvo is also a new entry in the top 5. GP Blanco and tom_jelte drops out.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   the asian   6992
    2   (-)   tom_jelte   6988
    3   (-)   Squire   6932
    4   (-)   Maaaaaaaarten   6886
    5   (+1)   Object   6828
    6   (-1)   GP Blanco   6810
    7   (+1)   Hugo Koblet   6730
    8   (-1)   fauniera   6690
    9   (-)   Googolplex   6655
    10   (-)   Kazistuta   6609

Our weekly winner almost makes it into the top 10 as well. Blues in the bottle narrowly misses out by 2 points. There's very minor movement in the top 10. The gaps between the podium teams tighten somewhat as the top 3 teams outscore the teams above themselves. the asian's lead is now quite precarious, with tom_jelte breathing down their neck just 4 points behind.

yesterday's update, via Squire on CN again:

    Quote
Update #23: bminchow beaming up the rankings with big week!

Last year, the post-Tour de Suisse update provided the highest score of the year when Kjellus collected 1387 points. The scores are not quite as dramatic this time around, but three teams still reached the ton.

Simon Spilak, who's picked by 49 teams, was obviously the rider to have this week. Being 2.WT1, the Tour de Suisse had some juicy points for the other high finishers as well. There was also a big amount of 2.1 races to choose from in the Tour preparation, and several of them had important CQ game riders score significant points, like Carapaz, De Plus, Roglic, Rolland and, quite unexpectedly, Silvan Dillier, who won the mountainous Route de Sud.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank Team Points this week
    1 bminchow 1110
    2 Manafana 1001
    3 Gigs_98 1000
    4 abbulf 955
    5 just some guy 850

bminchow is no longer "crashing and burning", but completely destroying the opposition! Dominant victory this week, with a cushion of more than 100 points. The Tour de Suisse was kind to bminchow, who has Spilak, Frank, Soler and Küng score more than 50 points. But a handsome amount of points was won in the other races too: Dillier leading the line with 126, while De Plus, Haig and Kragh Andersen also chip in with more than 50 each.

Manafana and Gigs_98 barely scrape past 1000 points on the week to make it a full four-digit podium. Manafana was helped by good performances from some interesting rare picks, like Kruijswijk, Van Aert, Verona and Santaromita while also having many of the more popular high scorers. Gigs will be especially happy about Mühlberger's points, I imagine.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank Team up/down
    1 Manafana (+31)
    2 abbulf (+29)
    2 bminchow (+29)
    4 AupaPyama (+21)
    5 Gigs_98 (+20)

Many of the same teams are represented in the highest movers' list. Worth noting is last year's podium finisher abbulf, who's finally showing some signs of life. Also deserving of some more plaudits is Gigs_98, who makes a massive leap all the way into the overall top ten!

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank Team Total
    1 the asian 171
2 Blues in the bottle 157
    3 Kazistuta 141
    4 Geraint Too Fast 136
    5 GP Blanco 135

the asian has had enough of sharing the limelight with Blues in the bottle, and takes the green jersey all to themselves by finishing 9th on the week, which is rewarded by 14 points. GP Blanco scores 18 points to bump Kryvo out of the top 5. Nine teams have so far failed to score a point in this competition, among them last year's winner skidmark.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank Up/down Team Points
    1 (+2) the asian 8093
    2 (+4) GP Blanco 8032
    3 (-1) Squire 7918
    4 (+1) Maaaaaaaarten 7915
    5 (-4) tom_jelte 7845
    6 (+3) fauniera 7825
    7 (+5) Googolplex 7762
    8 (-4) Object 7753
    9 (+1) jeroenk 7606
    10 (+20) Gigs_98 7557

Great week for the asian, who not only takes back sole leadership of the green jersey, but reclaims their overall lead as well! The rare pick of Primoz Roglic is really paying well. The same can be said for GP Blanco, who moves up onto the podium. Last week's leader, tom_jelte, is back to their usual habit of floating around the mid-reaches of the top 10. As mentioned, Gigs_98 makes a pole vault into the top ten, and is joined by Googolplex. Experienced CQ'ers Hugo Koblet and Kazistuta are the casualties.

The milestone of overall profit is reached this week, with 13 teams now in the green!

Next week we will have the unpredictable national championships. Will the asian's comeback be a lasting one?

Hey all! Haven't been very active on this thread while working remotely the last few months. But I'm back on updates as of now - still working long hours, so even though I have frequent internet access, updates might not be on Mondays just yet. This week's will be up in the next 24 hours and then I'll try to make them happen on Mondays regularly. Once I'm back home in early August things should be back to normal. Good luck in the Tour, everyone!

ps. just noticed that Squire hadn't been putting the updates up here - sorry guys! It really has been a long time since I have been on here. I will definitely be posting on here, and I'm doing updates until the end of the year.

Update #26: The Tour takes over as Green Jersey lead changes hands

It's July, and that means that the Tour is center stage once again - the only Grand Tour that doesn't overlap with any other WorldTour events (in non-Olympic years, at least). Certainly there were a couple of smaller races this week, but really, the main points were in France. It's only fitting that the leader for the week is a team that has some of the biggest names at Le Tour.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   scrooll07   532
    2   fauniera   511
    3   R_O_Shipman   497
    4   Schleckamagurky   477
    5   freshman   473

scrooll07 takes top honours this week, with an impressive 532 points, most of which are from non-GC Tour points. I guess when you're the only player in the CQ game to have Chris Froome (172 points), you're probably gonna rake come Tour time. Add in Kittel (2 teams, 160 points) and Aru (92 teams, 105 points), and you've got a pretty good week right there, even without the support points from Elia Viviani and Edward Planckaert. Second place fauniera took another route to points, with the fairly popular pick Egan Bernal (162 points, 45 teams) scoring big in Romania, as well as points from Aru, Uran, Giulio Ciccone and Simone Ponzi. R_O_Shipman sneaks into third with Bernal and Aru leading the way, but also some rarer picks like Miguel Angel Lopez, Christopher Lawless and unique pick Jingbiao Zhao.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   freshman   (+20)
    2   minessa   (+13)
    3   CraZyCaLL   (+12)
    4   adamski101   (+11)
    5   rote_laterne   (+10)

The list of high movers this week has only one overlapping team with the list of top scorers, a pretty rare occurrence in this game. freshman claims top honours this week, while pulling in 5th place in the Top Scorers as well. Aru and Bernal lead the way, with good supporting points from Viviani, Ponzi, the ill-fated Robert Gesink, and Roy Jans. minessa vaults into the top 50 overall with an almost identical set of riders, and CraZyCaLL rounds out the podium with the same big 2 popular picks as well.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   the asian   173
2   Blues in the bottle   172
    3   GP Blanco   161
    4   Kazistuta   156
    5   fauniera   153

The Green Jersey is changing hands for sure this year at the Tour after Sagan's DQ, and it will be changing hands here as well. fauniera sneaks into the top 5 overall with 35 points for 2nd on the week, but the real story is that the asian retakes the lead. Proving the maxim that every point counts, the asian scores the minimum 2 points for 15th place on the week, and reverses the slim one-point lead that Blues in the bottle had held coming into the week. Spots 2-4 scored no points on the week. Also, two teams who had scored no points prior to this week ended up scoring, which means that 126 teams (out of 131 playing) have scored points so far. Still plenty of opportunities to score coming up!

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   GP Blanco   9163
    2   (-)   the asian   9095
    3   (+2)   fauniera   8883
    4   (-)   tom_jelte   8800
    5   (-2)   Gigs_98   8700
    6   (-)   Googolplex   8542
    7   (+1)   Maaaaaaaarten   8541
    8   (+1)   Squire   8486
    9   (-2)   Object   8479
    10   (-)   Hugo Koblet   8428

Not the most eventful week in terms of movement, but things got tighter at the top, with 2nd place scoring more than 1st, and 3rd scoring more than 2nd. fauniera jumps onto the podium with 2nd on the week, but most of the rest of the leaderboard is in a holding pattern, with no one moving in or out of the top 10.

Update #27: scrooll07 repeats as Tour continues to dominate

Week 2 of the Tour and once again, not much to compete with it - an Italian 1.1 race and the first stage of a 2.HC Chinese race were the only pro events on the calendar. As such, it's hardly a surprise that last week's Tour-fuelled winner repeats in the weekly standings.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   scrooll07   430
    2   al_pacino   289
    3   CQmanager   282
    4   LightBing   277
    5   adamski101   273

scrooll07 dominates in a repeat week; points come from Froome (unique pick), Kittel (2 teams), and the popular trio of Landa, Degenkolb and Aru. That's it - 5 riders each scoring over 50 points win the week. Second place was a closer race; al pacino takes a close one with the above-mentioned popular trio, plus rarer picks Barguil and Simon Yates adding the rest. CQmanager lives up to his name with points again from the popular trio, with the only other scoring from unique pick Michael Matthews.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   adamski101   (+8)
    2   CQmanager   (+7)
    2   al_pacino   (+7)
    4   LightBing   (+6)
    5   scrooll07   (+5)

Not many points this week, and so not much movement; in fact, the entire top 5 is the same as the first list, just in different order. adamski101 tops the podium here, with (perhaps predictably by now) the popular trio that everyone had above, plus Barguil and a single point from Benoot.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   173
    1   the asian   173
3   Blues in the bottle   172
    4   scrooll07   161
    4   GP Blanco   161

Whoa! The green jersey competition is tighter than the Tour GC right now! If you recall last week, the asian turned a meagre 2 points into a first place overall. This week, fauniera has a second good week in a row, and their team's 20 points move them into a tie for first. The top 3 are separated by a single point, and there's a tie for 4th just 12 points off the lead. scrooll's amazing run has their team in the top 5 (116 of their 161 points are from the 3 Tour updates of the last 3 weeks). And 6th place Kazistuta is only 14 points (or a 9th place on a given week) out of the lead. This is tighter than I've ever seen it!

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   GP Blanco   9366
    2   (-)   the asian   9302
    3   (-)   fauniera   9119
    4   (-)   tom_jelte   8986
    5   (-)   Gigs_98   8892
    6   (-)   Googolplex   8709
    7   (-)   Maaaaaaaarten   8693
    8   (-)   Squire   8688
    8   (+1)   Object   8688
    10   (-)   Hugo Koblet   8611

While the green jersey standings are jumping around, the overall lead is stable as a rock. The top 10 overall ranged from 6th to 78th place on the weekly scoring, but that's only a difference of 84 points in reality. There's as close to no movement as possible - Object moves up 1 into a tie for 8th, and no one moves in or out of the top 10.

We will see how the mega-points on offer for Tour GC affects things this week...

Update #28: Big points and upheaval at the top as scooll remains on a roll

The biggest single points of a CQ race in a year is the GC of the Tour de France, and that was this week. Although there aren't a huge amount of races this week, those GC points really add up if you have a few contenders. And, much like the entire 4 updates involving the Tour, the top of the weekly standings is dominated by a few teams with high-rolling rare picks.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   scrooll07   1549
    2   fauniera   1398
    3   al_pacino   1356
    4   Crevaison   1198
    5   Sneekes   1196

For the third week in a row, scrooll07 nabs first place on the back of unique pick Chris Froome, who, despite only being at 54% of his total last year, picks up 813 points this week alone. If you've been reading these updates the last few weeks, you know that scrooll also has popular picks Landa, Aru and Degenkolb, all of whom got a few points this week too. Ever-present top dweller fauniera nets a solid second place as one of the 6 teams with surprise second-place finisher Uran, as well as the Landa/Aru/Degenkolb trio. al_pacino also scores another week near the top, nabbing the final spot on the podium.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   scrooll07   (+35)
    2   al_pacino   (+24)
    3   Crevaison   (+21)
    4   nuvolablu   (+18)
    5   Gotland   (+16)

The top two are carry-overs from the previous list, but the rest of the top 5 are new. Crevaison sneaks into third, one of the other teams who boldly picked Uran.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   208
    2   scrooll07   206
    3   the asian   179
4   Blues in the bottle   172
    5   GP Blanco   161
    6   Kazistuta   157
    7   Kryvo   143
    8   CQmanager   140.2
    9   Geraint Too Fast   136
    10   Gigs_98   129

After an unprecedentedly tight battle in the top 4 spots last week, things spread out a bit more this week. A third weekly victory in a row doesn't quite net scrooll07 top spot (although wait for the Vuelta when Froome is scoring points left and right again), as fauniera ekes out top spot with two 2nds and a 6th place in the last 3 weeks. the asian nets 6 points for 13th this week, getting a bit of a buffer on former leader Blues in the bottle for the final podium spot. No other scoring in the top 10 this week.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (+2)   fauniera   10517
    2   (-)   the asian   10426
    3   (-2)   GP Blanco   10357
    4   (-)   tom_jelte   10100
    5   (-)   Gigs_98   9928
    6   (+2)   Object   9831
    7   (+1)   Squire   9817
    8   (-1)   Maaaaaaaarten   9642
    9   (+4)   Kazistuta   9638
    10   (+2)   HelgeBlendet   9635

And we have a new leader! The points from Uran add to an already impressive team performance from fauniera to finally overtake GP Blanco for first place. And a handy lead it is, almost 100 points over 2nd place the asian. Minor movement around the top 10, with Kazistuta and HelgeBlendet jumping into the top 10, and game founder Hugo Koblet falling out alongside the precipitous fall of Googolplex, who fell from 6th to 20th after only having Aru from the high GC finishers.

Update #29: Overall and weekly leaders singing Teuns of happiness

The Tour is over, July is over, and we are into the final phase of the season. That means that the table is set for the endgame of the CQ Manager game, which is always a little more exciting in the late summer and fall. It's pretty easy to guess in advance of the year who is going to score big points in the spring classics and the Giro/Tour (although of course there are always surprises), but there are still lots of points up for grabs in the summer and fall, and the races often depends on who's in form, who has shifted their goals from earlier this year, and sometimes even just who shows up to a thinned-out start line.

At any rate, the first post-Tour week resulted in a fair amount of movement, and both the top weekly scoring and top overall scoring tables are very tight.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   del1962   806
    2   Roubaix   805
    3   Sneekes   786
    4   postmanhat   708
    5   Kazistuta   705

It was a close one this week, with del1962 taking it by 0.125% or so over Roubaix, 1 point difference with over 800 points, phew! Both had Kwiatkowski and Teuns as the big scorers, as well as decently scoring popular picks Gougeard (FINALLY scoring some points this year) and Landa. The difference was made in the little points, with each team having points from 16 riders. It's impossible to tell where the one-point difference was made, but let's highlight that del's pick, old man Stijn Devolder, got 45 points this week. I didn't think I'd be spotlighting him in any more CQ updates, so might as well take the opportunity when possible. Let's not let this battle overshadow the fact that third place Sneekes was tantalizingly close as well, with main points coming from the same popular bunch as the top two (Kwiatko, Teuns, Landa, Gougeard, Power, Viviani), but fewer minor points.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Spice_Girls   (+17)
    2   Roubaix   (+13)
    3   Gotland   (+10)
    3   Martin   (+10)
    5   Kjellus   (+9)
    5   Armchair cyclist   (+9)

Wow, only one name in common between the two lists, that's rare! That's indicative of the fact that 4 of the 5 top scorers on the week were already in the top 25 overall and so didn't have very much further to move up. At any rate, Spice_Girls tops the list this week (I think the first time I've seen them at the head of an update this year, congrats!), moving up 17 spots on the back of contributions from the usual suspects (all the popular riders from the previous part of the update), but is the only team I've mentioned so far with both Tuens and Theuns, the latter of which contributed 18 points. Roubaix ends up bridesmaid again, although the 4-place difference between 1st and 2nd here wasn't quite as close as the 1-point difference on the previous list. Gotland and Martin tie for the last podium place.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   208
    2   scrooll07   206
    3   the asian   195
    4   Kazistuta   179
5   Blues in the bottle   172

After the flurry of TdF results, the top 2 teams in this competition take a back seat, while 3rd and 4th draw closer. the asian gets 16 points this week and Kazistuta gets 22 as the top 5 are all within a week's points of the overall lead.

    This Month's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this month
    1   scrooll07   2812
    2   fauniera   2762
    3   the asian   2479
    4   del1962   2421
    5   Kazistuta   2415

July is over, and it's no surprise that its biggest returns came from those teams who dominated the Tour updates. scrooll07 rode the combo of unique pick Froome and almost-unique pick Kittel to win the month, albeit not handily, with second place fauniera (largely getting points from Uran/Landa/Aru at the Tour) only 50 points back. Theirs was a classic 'you take the stage and I'll move up GC' breakaway move, with scrooll taking 3 weeks in a row, but fauniera being rewarded for consistency in those same weeks (two 2nd places and a 6th) culminating with the overall lead last week.

    This Month's High Movers

Rank   Team   Points this month   Up/down this month

    3   postmanhat   2366   (+25)
    3   Gotland   1993   (+25)

scrooll07 had a slow start to the year, but July was a big springboard for what could be a strong end to the year. With Froome targeting the Vuelta pretty seriously this time around, the 34-place jump from July may not be the highest left in the year for this team. adamski101 had a solid month as well; despite being overlooked in the Froome/scrooll dominance, their team parlayed strong months from Aru/Barguil/Landa/Bernal/Benoot/Degenkolb to rest just outside the top 40 overall at month's end. There's a 3-way tie for third on the month, with all 3 teams getting a healthy 25-spot jump.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points

    7   (-2)   Gigs_98   10320

    9   (+1)   HelgeBlendet   10308
    10   (-4)   Object   10303

Things are darn tight at the top, and the lead switches hands again! the asian takes the lead by a mere 29 points over previous week's leader fauniera, while former leader GP Blanco holds solidly to 3rd. With 12 teams over 10000 points, it's all to play for heading into the Vuelta. Only one change in the top 10, as weekly winner del1962 rockets into the top 10 (and in fact top 5), while Maaaaaaarten falls just out.

Update #30: Hakkie2 wins week as Teuns continues fantastic run

The August hodgepodge of post-Tour, pre-Vuelta races are upon us, and as usual this time of year, to lead a week you have to draw on points from a number of different races. Considering that it's kind of a 'transition' week without a single huge race, the points were quite high.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   Hakkie2   984
    2   vroome.exe   918
    3   Squire   908
    4   Spice_Girls   891
    5   HelgeBlendet   879

With almost 1000 points this week, Hakkie2 takes the top prize. The two shining lights on their team are Pologne winner Dylan Teuns (273 points this week, far more than his 150 cost and bringing him to over 700 on the year) and Burgos winner/dominator Mikel Landa (252 points this week and over 1300 for the year). Sprinkle in points from such rare picks as Pozzovivo (102 points, 15 teams), Giulio Ciccone (96 points from Utah, on 6 teams) and Mathieu van der Poel (80 points in Belgium, 9 teams) and you've got a winning combo. vroome.exe nabs second place without Teuns, but with Landa and Enric Mas in Burgos, Ciccone and Neilson Powless scoring over 90 in Utah, and a bunch of riders between 30-60 points on the week. Squire nets third place with over 900 points mostly from Teuns, Landa and Mas, with some solid contribution from Jaime Roson and Danny van Poppel.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Spice_Girls   (+16)
    1   vroome.exe   (+16)
    3   merengues   (+15)
    4   Londonpat   (+12)
    5   Mellow Velo   (+11)
    5   oliveira   (+11)

In a two-way tie for first, vroome.exe (mentioned in the previous section) and Spice_Girls split the honours, with merengues close behind.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   208
    2   scrooll07   206
    3   the asian   195
    4   Kazistuta   179
5   Blues in the bottle   174

No movement in the top 5; Blues in the bottle scored 2 points for 15th place but that only moves the needle slightly. Things tightened up a bit overall, with teams such as Roubaix, Hakkie2, Squire and HelgeBlendet all scoring to move into the top 15 with totals between 130-150 points, a weekly win away from the top 5.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   the asian   11808
    2   (-)   fauniera   11758
    3   (+5)   Squire   11220
    4   (+5)   HelgeBlendet   11187
    5   (-2)   GP Blanco   11130
    6   (-1)   del1962   11119
    7   (-1)   Kazistuta   11076
    8   (-1)   Gigs_98   10861
    9   (+7)   Hakkie2   10849
    10   (+1)   Maaaaaaaarten   10781

Some big jumps here, but the top 2 stay the same. the asian extends their lead by a relatively small 21 points over fauniera, but of course each point counts. The big leapers are Squire and HelgeBlendet, each jumping 5 places into 3rd and 4th respectively, although they are both over 500 points behind the top 2 overall. Weekly winner Hakkie2 makes a big leap into the top 10, replacing the Landa-less tom-jelte, who falls from 4th to 11th.

This week is a similar diverse mix of 2.1 or higher stage races going all over the map from Portugal to the Benelux countries to Norway to the USA to the Czech Republic to France. It's likely again that it will take an interesting mix of riders to claim the week.

Update #31: Mouse Squeaks out Victory in the Days of August

I said to end last week's update that there was an interesting mix of races all over, and it would likely be someone with a rare assortment of riders that took the week. And then Dylan Teuns won ANOTHER race. But, in a twist, this week's winner didn't even have him.

    This Week's High Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   Roar Like A Mouse   604
    2   the attacking vikings   598
    3   Geraint Too Fast   579
    4   Russell23   575
    5   LukasCPH   557

The week goes to Roar Like A Mouse, who takes the week by a mere 6 points. This is mostly carried by 3 big-scoring riders: Jasper Stuyven (215 points, 14 teams), Thibaut Pinot (139 points, 4 teams), and... August Jensen!? The previously obscure Norwegian broke out this week, with 160 points and a stage win over the seemingly invincible Teuns. At a cost of 130, his return so far this season of 387 will make the 3 teams that have him quite happy indeed. It should be no surprise that the attacking vikings, a team made entirely of Scandinavians, would place highly in a week where the Arctic Race of Norway is on the list - a short list of riders chosen by fewer than 3 teams that scored for the attacking vikings this week included: Alexander Kristoff, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Micheal Valgren, Bjorn Tore Nilsen Hoem, Vegard Stake Laengen, August Jensen, Andreas Vengstad, Carl Fredrik Hagen, and Sindre Lunke. So yeah, a pretty rare mix of riders there. Geraint Too Fast rounds it out with a more traditional team including Teuns, Pinot and Boom.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Roar Like A Mouse   (+13)
    2   Armchair cyclist   (+12)
    3   Russell23   (+11)
    3   LukasCPH   (+11)
    5   Geraint Too Fast   (+10)
    5   SafeBet   (+10)

A very similar list to the one above, with 9th-placed Top Scorer Armchair Cyclist breaking into a podium position here, by virtue of being in a tightly packed high mid-table (currently 40th overall).

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   208
    2   scrooll07   206
    3   Kazistuta   197
    4   the asian   195
5   Blues in the bottle   186

Some maneuvering here as well, with Kazistuta leapfrogging the asian to move into a podium spot, and Blues in the bottle scoring 12 points to pull tighter to the top. Out of the top 5, Geraint Too Fast scores 30 points to move into 6th and is within a weekly win (45 points) of top spot as well. Three(!) teams that had scored zero points in the first 30 weeks scored this week, meaning 129 out of the 131 participating teams have scored at least a point since the start of the year.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   the asian   12224
    2   (-)   fauniera   11955
    3   (+1)   HelgeBlendet   11701
    4   (+3)   Kazistuta   11619
    5   (-2)   Squire   11508
    6   (-)   del1962   11466
    7   (-2)   GP Blanco   11329
    8   (+1)   Hakkie2   11301
    9   (-1)   Gigs_98   11224
    10   (+1)   tom_jelte   11082

Although there was no movement in the top 2 spots, the range of team scores was quite wide this week, and the asian improved their lead substantially over fauniera, outscoring them by 219 points on the week. Kazistuta parlays a good week to move within shouting distance of the podium; tom-jelte moves into the top 10 while Maaaaaaaarten falls out.

Next week - the Vuelta starts!

    Update #33: LosBrolin Keeps Rollin'

(sorry for the delay this week - got too busy, will try to get back on track)

The Vuelta is into its second week, and with some results in France (Poitou Charentes & GP Bretagne) and Belgium (a bunch of little Omloops and GPs and "Flandrien Town Name-Flandrien Town Name" 1.1 races), there was a fair amount to draw from.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   LosBrolin   783
    2   VeloRooms   757
    3   Wallenquist   748
    4   ThePirate81   714
    5   vroome.exe   702

For the second week in a row, LosBrolin takes the top spot! Interestingly, there aren't too many other top scorers from last week hanging around the top this week, which suggests that LosBrolin got scoring from a different set of guys. Of course, any top team this week has to have Viviani, who's in the form of his life and just killing it out there. LosBrolin also gets help from unique pick Bouhanni, who doesn't necessarily give an overwhelming return overall, but is good to have for weekly wins as he contributes in clumps (104 this week). Throw in Mads Pedersen's fine performance (136 points, 14 teams) this week, and you've got a winning combo. VeloRooms collective team comes oh-so-close, 26 points out of the top spot. They also had Viviani and Pedersen, but got their other big contribution from Vanmarcke (96 points). Wallenquist is close behind in third, getting points from Nibali and Spilak behind the common two picks listed above.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Hugo87   (+9)
    2   Ludwigzgz   (+7)
    2   abbulf   (+7)
    2   minessa   (+7)
    2   Poles & Co.   (+7)
    2   VeloRooms   (+7)
    2   DJW   (+7)
    2   togo95   (+7)

Interesting. A massive tie for second place on this chart, but Hugo87 takes the top honors. While finishing only 15th on the Top Scorers list with 660 points, Hugo is placed just outside the top 40, where things are quite tight (currently the spots directly above their position - 40, 39, 38 - are all separated by a single point). A good jump! The seven-place jumpers tied for second come from all over the map, with one team out of the top 100, a few in the 80s, one in the 70s, two in the 60s, one in the 50s.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   226
    2   scrooll07   206
    3   Kazistuta   197
    4   the asian   195
    5   GP Blanco   192

Just when things were tightening up for the last several weeks, fauniera has a fine week once again and pulls away, scoring 18 points on the week and pulling away from the closest contenders. GP Blanco keeps pace with 13 and jumps back into the top 5 after two good weeks (their team scored 18 points last week too). No one else in the top 10 scores points - as an example of how many points accumulate in this competition, double-weekly winner LosBrolin sits in 21st overall, despite back-to-back 45 point weeks.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   the asian   13035
    2   (-)   fauniera   12928
    3   (-)   HelgeBlendet   12571
    4   (-)   Kazistuta   12447
    5   (+2)   GP Blanco   12431
    6   (-1)   Squire   12360
    7   (-1)   del1962   12359
    8   (-)   Hakkie2   12150
    9   (-)   Gigs_98   12030
    10   (-)   tom_jelte   11952

It may not look like too much movement, but things are tightening up in various places. fauniera takes back 159 points on the asian to move within about 100 of the lead; behind, 4th and 5th are very close, 6th and 7th are separated by one point, and a good week by anyone could move them up a spot or two. No movements in and out of the top 10, of course, but things could change on any given week.

Update #34: Overall lead switches hands on otherwise quiet week

The second week of the Vuelta was the only WorldTour action this week; with only stage points to give out, a couple of 1.HC races, and the very-few-pro-teams Tour of Alberta, it was all in all pretty quiet - definitely a chance for teams not in the overall to have a chance in the spotlight!

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   Roar Like A Mouse   358
2   Blues in the bottle   340
    3   trackstand   335
    3   oliveira   335
    5   zlev11   331

Team Roar Like A Mouse gets a second weekly win in the last month; a score of 358 is pretty low for a week in this game, but in this case it was enough to grab victory by 18 points. This is largely due to Miguel Angel Lopez finally having a great week after a rough year; 180 points were enjoyed by the 19 teams that chose him. Some handy points from rarer picks Stuyven, Fraile, and Soren Kragh Andersen seal the top spot for RLAM. Blues in the bottle has a good week to grab second, while a tie for third includes team trackstand, who score their very first points of the year in the Green Jersey competition.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   Roar Like A Mouse   (+11)
    2   DJ Sprtsch   (+7)
    2   Mellow Velo   (+7)
    2   oliveira   (+7)
    5   bminchow   (+6)

RLAM takes the double this week, rocketing up 11 spots. oliveira ties for a podium spot in this ranking as well, this time with DJ Sprtsch and Mellow Velo, both of whom move up 7.

    This Month's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this month
    1   Hakkie2   2488
    2   barmaher   2482
3   Blues in the bottle   2462
    4   Roar Like A Mouse   2446
    5   Wallenquist   2362

August is over, and the dust settles to show a very close victorie by Hakkie2! An impressive month buoyed by (in descending order of points scored on the month) Elia Viviani (637), Dylan Teuns (525), Mikel Landa (252), Lars Boom (163), Giulio Ciccone (151), Simone Consonni (140), and Domenico Pozzovivo (102). barmaher gets second place without Teuns, but with Viviani and great contributions from Stuyven, Landa, Lopez, Enric Mas and David Gaudu. Blues in a bottle sneaks into third place on the month.

    This Month's High Movers

    Rank   Team   Up/down this month
    1   Roar Like A Mouse   (+30)
    2   barmaher   (+20)
    3   Brullnux   (+19)
    4   Russell23   (+18)
    4   Martin   (+18)

Some similar names at the top. And, no mistake about it, the month belonged to twice-weekly champ RLAM. A thirty point jump took their team out of the top 100 overall and into the weekly spotlight. Several other teams leapt about 20 places this month, headed by barmaher's 20-place ascension into the top 20 overall.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   226
2   Blues in the bottle   221
    3   scrooll07   206
    4   Kazistuta   197
    5   the asian   195

It's heating up at the top! Second place weekly finisher Blues in the bottle transforms this week's 35 points into a leap up the ovearall standings, landing only 5 points behind fauniera in the ranking. No other teams in the top 5 score this week, but Roar Like A Mouse parlays two weekly wins and three weeks in the points in the last month into cracking the top 10, at 8th overall. As mentioned above, trackstand scores their first points of the year, meaning only one team has yet to score a point this year! C'mon, team I'm not going to name here!

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (+1)   fauniera   13085

    3   (-)   HelgeBlendet   12613
    4   (-)   Kazistuta   12559
    5   (-)   GP Blanco   12546
    6   (-)   Squire   12499
    7   (-)   del1962   12461

    9   (-)   Gigs_98   12079
    10   (-)   tom_jelte   12046

Look at this! After weeks holding the top spot, the asian falls behind fauniera by FIVE POINTS! It's close at the top. Five out of 13085 is 0.0382% of a difference, wow. fauniera having Consonni and Minali was the difference maker this week in outscoring the asian by 112 and sneaking ahead.

No other changes in the top 10, but things have definitely gotten interesting! Well, what's coming up this week? Oh, not much, just - THE VUELTA GC, as well as the Canadian races. Stay tuned for next update! It'll be a good one, I will get it out as soon as I can on Monday.

Update #36: LosBrolin wins for third week this year as top remains unchanged

Hi all, apologies for the delay in update. I've been really sick for several days, down-and-out. Now I'm back enough to make an update at least.

    This Week's Top Scorers

    Rank   Team   Points this week
    1   LosBrolin   781
    2   comodoro   722
    3   AlyKaptan   653
    4   Kjellus   651
    5   PremierAndrew   570

LosBrolin wins for the third time in five weeks (their team also won Weeks 32 & 33 if you recall last month). But whereas those wins were powered by unique pick Bouhanni and rare pick August Jensen, this is a well-rounded effort, with a bunch of points for Mads Pedersen and Lennard Hofstede from the Post-Danmark Rundt, as well as strong Gaviria points, and World TTT points from Soren Kragh Andersen and Lennard Kamna. comodoro is the only team that comes within a hundred points, sporting top points from a very similar lineup but not having the minor support points to put their team over the top (maybe Bouhanni's 39 points were crucial this week after all). AlyKaptan just squeaks into third on the strength of mostly Pedersen and Gaviria.

    This Week's High Movers

    Rank   Team   up/down
    1   merengues   (+11)
    1   Kjellus   (+11)
    1   AlyKaptan   (+11)
    4   Eyeballs Out   (+10)
    5   kabete   (+9)

A three-way tie for first this week! AlyKaptan is the only repeating podium member, but all three take a big leap - merengues to 39th overall, Kjellus to 71st and Alykaptan to 22nd.

    Green Jersey Competition

    Rank   Team   Total
    1   fauniera   226
2   Blues in the bottle   225
    3   scrooll07   214
    4   GP Blanco   200
    5   Kazistuta   197
    6   the asian   195

Verrrry close at the top. Blues in the bottle nabs 4 points for a 14th place on the week to pull within 1 point of fauniera for the overall lead! GP Blanco gets 8 points on the week to move to an even 200, but other than that, no one within striking distance of the top (that is, 45 points, which I've shown here) picks up anything.

    Top 10 Overall

    Rank   Up/down   Team   Points
    1   (-)   the asian   14333
    2   (-)   fauniera   14255
    3   (+2)   GP Blanco   13891
    4   (-)   HelgeBlendet   13820
    5   (-2)   Kazistuta   13703
    6   (-)   del1962   13649
    7   (+1)   Blues in the bottle   13506
    8   (-1)   Squire   13393
    9   (+3)   Wallenquist   13286
    10   (-1)   Hakkie2   13171

fauniera claws back 25 points on the asian this week in the battle for the top, and GP Blanco does some leapfrogging to get back to a podium spot. But for the most part, the status quo is upheld. There aren't many opportunities past this week's big 400-point Worlds Road Race to close the kind of gap the top 2 have on everyone else, so the top end of things may be more clear by next week's rankings. Wallenquist rides a good week back into the top 10, while Gigs_98 slips out.

I've been lucky enough in every year that I have entered CQ to have a rider win something at the WC.

    2014: Kwiatkowski - Elite RR
    2015: Ledanois - U23 RR
    2016: Martin - Elite TT

Is the run about to end? I'm not too hopeful.
