He could be talking rubbish, but Porte was going on about just marking people on Willunga and almost signposting the stage for Dennis to have a crack.

I'm happy for this to be disqualified from the comp but this is a match bet being offered by Bet 365 for Stage 6

They are offering a Caleb Ewan v The field match bet.

So if it's allowed I'd like

Anyone to beat Ewan @ 2.5 with Bet365

An overall disqualification (or even an asterisk) would be a bit drastic. I'm not that draconian. :whip

My instinct would be to not allow that type of bet. I saw it in the Bet365 H2H section too and I noticed Pinnacle do them as well, some with larger odds (Bennett and Van Poppel were both available vs The Field at ~10). My problem is that although they're in the H2H section, they are just normal bets really (back and lay options) dressed up as H2Hs. So if we accept the Ewan one, do we start accepting normal stage bets? Even someone landing one of the Bennett/DVP vs The Field bets could kill the competition.

Let's hear what others think though.

As you say taking the one rider on their own would be just like backing them for the stage win outright which isn't the intended purpose of the competition.

Its a bit pathetic to get off the mark with a 57th place beating a DNF but given how badly i've been doing i'll take anything.

Does anyone know what the best current streak/profit that has been achieved is?
