Anyway I bet everybody had a close inspection of the road book today (including the moto drivers!).

I guess one extra thing in Rui's defence is that unless you're really at the absolute front of the peloton it's going to nigh on impossible (and probably exceedingly dangerous) to go right when the rest of the riders want to go left.

Small gap, but all given the same time.

That must be about 5 seconds between 1st and 2nd: how on earth did they give that as same time

yep, jury decision, everyone in the peloton got the same time as it wasn't (mainly) the riders' fault

Doesn't seem very fair or good for competition.

After four stages he's now 6m04 ahead of the second placed rider.

55km solo from Zoidl to win the stage.

Narvaez had one worrying moment on the final stage when he and Costa got caught up in a crash, but the team played it cool even though they were a fair bit behind the peloton.

Should be fun to see how the Ecuadorian gets on at the Baby Giro later in the year.

    well...  :D

not exactly a first class move by Fleeman, but maybe also a bit naive by young Hayden to believe that anyone wouldn't contest the sprint for the win in a one day race

Yes more than a bit naive.

Vino is probably thinking "Why the hell did I pay those (alleged) thousands to Kolobnev and Uran, when I could have just told them this?!"

Apparently McCormick asked "are you going to sprint?" (which is a silly question, of course he will sprint!), and Fleeman heard "can you sprint?":

GP Himmerland Rundt (Danish 1.2 race) is actually livestreamed on Norwegian TV2 "sumo" internet service. Did not know it featured long gravel sections! Bunch splitting quite early, racing is hard :cool

I did think Caja fielding Roson was taking the pee a bit, but he seems to be either working for others or tired after his exertions in Croatia.

Stage two finish approaching fast. Kolss have four in this group, Cycling Academy have two, our Kirill is present along with Nakane, Pernsteiner plus a couple of others. Raining very heavily.
