Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.

    Difficult TTT to judge.

The initial profile in post #1 looks fairly tame, then when you look at the Ride with GPS one it looks like there are a few tough kms here and there, but when you see those bits on street view it's looks like false flat (bearing in mind I didn't look at every inch of uphill).

So I don't know who's going to win. I just hope there's at least three or four teams within 30 seconds of each other at the end.

What the *us president would say now:
"Rainier is a whiner. Not being happy there is a race on in Spain, he decides to complain about last year's very successful edition. SAD!"

In all seriousness, this is an issue the UCI should do something about.
Some races[1] are paying too quickly, handing out bundles of dollar bills in hotel elevators right after the last stage, other races too slowly (or not at all). Neither is desirable. :(

Movistar is clearly the favorite, it would be surpirse for them to not win. But Orica would be my pick to win, i really like their roster for this tour. Finally, Lotto-Jumbo is my outsider pick, they have good TT guys but their climbing skills are questionable  :D

Just a tip, I think it is easier to read how code should be written inside code brackets. It should be

(there is no space between the # and the team code)

Not a bad stage as far as sprints go, despite the information underload about gaps etc and the poor camera work in the finale.

Strong attack from Van Emden after he bridged to the break and with the blustery conditions and a peloton going the wrong way, we thought he might have a chance, but no. There were some other late attempts and the proliferation of roundabouts and turns in the last few kms didn't make things easy for the sprint trains.

Quintana riding up a 20% gradient goat track, hardly breathing with his hands at one point, off the bars.
No messing, attacks right at the foot of the climb and leaves everybody grovelling and gasping.
Does the Giro start next week? :D

Normally the GC would be over, but....

The stage today has them heading north initially and then back down south, so I make that strong crosswinds all day long.

I look forward to the Ronde, E3, Gent Wevelgem etc being turned into Spring criteriums, as apparently cyclists are now unable to ride when the wind blows.
After all, with the UCI's weather protocol now up and running, it's going to ensure a consistent approach, right? :P :angel
