Rendez-vous with History
There are few, but it already presents the prestigious traits of history. La Flèche Wallonne Femmes, a little sister of the famous Belgian classic, is experiencing this year a 20th episode which makes it reach a superior dimension.
In the period of anniversary, the viewing of a "retro" brings to light an obvious: the Wall of Huy, perhaps even more than in men, selects the great champions for the entry to the list of Flèche. From Fabiana Luperini to Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, from Nicole Cooke to Marianne Vos, to Emma Pooley and the double titler of the title Anna van der Breggen, the world and Olympic titles that have taken shape or have been confirmed on the way to the chapels form A real collection. This year, Huy's appointment is at the heart of a real Ardennes week that the ladies will experience thanks to the renaissance of the Amstel Gold Race and the creation of Liège-Bastogne-Liège Femmes. The legend is on.
The week of the Ardennes marks both the beginning of spring and the end in apotheosis of a first sequence of the cycling season, in which are expressed the specialists of the classics. Precisely, it is the most explosive of them who have the floor on the Flèche Wallonne, with a strong explanation on the slopes of the Wall of Huy. This year, the final loop has been slightly reworked, opening up opportunities and precipitating the selection: there will be only 58 kilometers between the first and third climbing of Chemin des Chapelles! After the World Puncher Final, the share of legend to be won over the Doyenne will be played out to wear, throughout the demanding 258-kilometer course. By attacking the last third of the race, The runners will be familiar with a new triptych made up of the coasts of Pont (km 168), Bellevaux (km 172) and especially the Ferme Libert (km 180), the latter with an average of 12.1% slope. What to heat the spirits and calves in view of the final packaging. # FWF2017

Of course, if this turns out someday to be the industry standard integrated handlebar-computer-braking solution then I'll eat my kevlar-reinforced aerodynamic hat.
